A Journey Through Imagination: Visiting Korea

Hi friends:

Sometimes I sit and dream about places I have never been, and one country that always comes to my mind is Korea. I feel like it is calling me, even though I have not visited yet. I imagine myself stepping off a plane and starting a new adventure in a land I have only seen in pictures and stories.

If I go to Korea, the first city I would love to see is Seoul. It is the capital, and I think it shows both the old and the new. I have seen how bright the city looks at night, with tall buildings and bridges shining over the Han River. In my imagination, I stand on one of those bridges, looking down at the water, while the lights move like stars on the surface. I think I would feel amazed, because the city looks alive but also calm in its own way.

From there, I would visit Gyeongbokgung Palace. This is the historical site I dream of the most. The palace looks so grand and strong, with its tall gates, wide courtyards, and colorful roofs. I imagine walking through the gate, my feet touching the stone path, and feeling as if I have gone back in time. The guards in their traditional clothes would make the place look even more alive, like the kings and queens from history are still there. I think this would be the moment when I truly feel Korea’s history in front of me.

Not far from the palace is Bukchon Hanok Village, another place I wish to see. The houses there look old but very beautiful, with their wooden doors and curved roofs. I imagine myself walking through the small streets, quiet and peaceful, as if time has slowed down. Maybe I would stop and look at the view of Seoul from the village, seeing the mix of old houses and modern buildings together. That picture alone would tell me the story of how Korea keeps its past while moving into the future.

The natural place I want to see most is Nami Island. I first discovered it when I watched the movie "Winter Sonata". The tall trees lined up in rows looked so magical that I promised myself one day I would go there. In my dream, I take the boat to the island, walk slowly under the trees, and feel the cool wind around me. I think it would be the most peaceful walk of my life. Just imagining it makes me feel calm and happy.

Even though I have not yet traveled to Korea, I keep this dream close to my heart. If I get the chance, I will begin with Seoul, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Nami Island, because these are the places that make me love Korea and wish to see it more than anywhere else, Thank you all.
