Week on Hive
16 of 38 tracked posts made it to this week's issue of the "Week on Hive" roundup. A couple of them may be cross-posted exclusively in the Hive News community.
In the Spotlight
Hive Creator Days is one of the biggest Hive meetups that is held every year. This year it is held in Graz, Austria, and we are in the middle of it, and we will likely see posts about it for next week from attendees.
But until then, today is the conference day for Hive Creator Days, when presentations are made, and we have a livestream from there. Whether by the time I'll publish this post it will still be live or only the recording of the livestream, that's another deal. Either way, you'll be able to see the presentations and maybe a little of the atmosphere around the event.
Enjoy it! I'll probably have a look at them over the week-end.
Marketing / Awareness / Branding / Meetings
Some, if not many of the events that end up in this section of this Hive News roundup get funded (at least partially) by Value Plan. It is worth reading their proposal if you want to know what is to be expected next.
Here are some examples.
You can't know what the right niche is until you find it. WOO is one of the interesting projects on Hive, one with a niche of true fans, and where a game on Hive with a potential revenue stream is connected to real events, and helping out retired former stars of wrestling. WOO just participated to a big wrestling event.
We find out from @social.gifts that the influencer they onboarded, "No Way José Cuisine", is running a challenge: to replicate one of their featured recipes, for a $5 to $8 reward in WAIV tokens, which can be converted to BTC, LTC, ETH, and HIVE, says the announcement.
Governance / Development / Dapps / Education
Blocktrades team tagged Hive API stack v1.27.11 for release, after a number of beta versions. In the next week or so it is expected that most Hive nodes that haven't updated to it, will. The likely noticeable change for most people would be "a higher performance across the ecosystem".
In the same update, Blocktrades describes briefly the state of all projects they've tackled or are still in work.
Last time I didn't know what they were talking about Metamask in the Hive Core Devs call. It looks like they were talking about a hive wallet extension allowing users to sign Hive transactions using keys derived from their Metamask wallets (and this seems to be something different than what VSC or Hive Keychain are working on with regards to EVM).
Finally, at the end of the post, Dan dropped a teaser... They are working on HiveSense, a new HAF app that will allow for semantic searching in posts (meaning, finding related posts without knowing exact word or phrase matches). I wonder if deep learning algorithms they'll use on this are the future of more focused feeds on Hive too.
By the way, Blocktrades was invited at Deep Web3 Secrets to talk mainly about HAF.
VSC has been inviting anyone interested to test their Altera app before it is launched.
In the meantime, more and more work from various teams is being done to prepare the field for building up VSC use cases. This is one of the recent requests.
@crypto-shots created and made public an open-source SDK to track Hive-based earnings on specific periods of time (for example, if someone wonders how much they earn from a game or project per day/week/month/year). They also handle node issues in their SDK.
All that is needed are UIs for regular users to be able to use it.
The team presented a detailed overview of the project with everything going on since taking over to now and plans for the future, as the DHF proposal funding is getting close to end and they will likely apply for a new one.
Games
Midnight potions started being produced and sold on the NCM. The current price is of 0.084$ (in DEC) per potion and has risen continuously since I started checking it.
You can check stats about it on this tool.
@hivetrending published the list of things they tackled during the first week of the Moon game.
In the Holozing log, Acid hinted at a new side-project for ZING, while Holozing is being developed.
After the sad news that NFTMArt is not developed further and maintenance is not a priority either, it's good to see that another market for Hive-Engine games popped up: Hive NFTs.
The marketplace has Rising Star added, and also another game I am not familiar with. Other games can also be added.
I watched the video in the announcement post, and this looks nice.
From further down in the post, one can learn the game is not browser-based, so it has to be downloaded on your computer (works on Windows/PC), or as an app on Google Play.
Week in the Crypto World
USD1 by its name, World Liberty’s stablecoin will be the settlement stablecoin of the $2bn investment of Abu Dhabi-based MGX into Binance, even if it doesn't have any major listings yet, but I'm sure that'll bring it almost immediate listings everywhere.
That's an interesting move... At least Trump moved up from meme coins to stablecoins (not that he gave up on his meme coin). Read more.
Oh, and by the way, he wants to add a native token and wallet to his social media platform, Truth Social.
One thing we can say: he moves fast. While others are asleep, he (or likely, his family) makes bold and quick moves. If he was just another guy and his family, I'd be impressed. Sure, that has nothing to do with decentralization, but few seem to care at this point.
Speaking of stablecoins, I doubt the big financial system will be left behind. Some of the banks are preparing or already made the first steps into integrating stablecoins.
A recent piece of news mentions the collaboration between OKX and Mastercard to allow customers to spend stablecoins and merchants to accept them.

The problem with Reddit is that the moment you're posting a link, even if it's in an appropriate subreddit, you're likely to be flagged and you're at rbf risk of permanently losing that account. It wasn't so 6 to 7 years ago. I remembered sharing a few posts back in 2018, but it's virtually impossible to do it now without 80% risk of being flagged.
I didn't know that. I wonder how people who are doing it for Hive Posh every week get away with it. But even years ago, I got my Reddit account flagged (or whatever, because I didn't check into it much) after one post I think, which may not even include a link, I don't remember.

Thanks for sharing!
I hadn't seen the NFT market, so I'll check that out.
I don't trust Trump with anything. He is out to earn for himself and doesn't really care about what crypto can do. Maybe it will at least reduce the risk of more restrictions. He does far more harm than good.
From what I see it is focused on Rising Stars mainly at this point. But other HE games can be added, if they contact the developer via discord.
I didn't think he (or his family, with his blessing) would so openly seek out profit from crypto. They are the true definitions of "sharks". But they are positioning well, since they see and understand that banking and financial system doesn't have a future unless they evolve.
Thanks for the mention!
You are welcome!
A good summary of what is being developed within Hive, thanks for sharing.

I don't cook... much. But I'm sure it must be for some.
It's been around for some time. I kind of got used to browser games though, lately.
Thanks for mentioning our Status update @gadrian👍
You're welcome!
I think the new Hive Rewards SDK is interesting. I hope to see a UI come out soon so everyone can see how much they earned in rewards.
I'd be interested in that too. Most likely it would be implemented at each project separately, rather than having an UI where to see earnings from all projects and games on Hive-Engine.
The coming days will be special and interesting for the market if the interest rate is reduced, which people have been waiting for for a long time again and there are more chances that it will happen this time.
So... would Powell finally cut the interest rate? We'll see.
