RE: “8-10 Abuses a Day Is His Right”: When Religion Becomes a Weapon Online

The day I got to read the real (so narcissistic of me) Islam; I started saying that Islam came just for the women sake, especially if one looks from Gender Studies perspective. To quote a single example: heaven lies in mother's feet, husband and wife are like a dress to each other, and if a father take care of his daughter or daughters well, he will be awarded Jannah for it. When Prophet PBUH was asked about whom to care and respect the most, he thrice named "your mother." The ugliest thing is - the rigid patriarchal mindset. Like if I tell my mother about her rights or even my cousins or other female family members, they will say what the society says.

Tariq Masood and every other like him i s nothing but a jahil.

Plus point, there are people - just like you - who are spreading deen. Not a mazhab (religion) taught to us by the society :(

Oopsie, you straight-up called him "JAHIL"! Meanwhile, I have quite a few people on my WhatsApp contact list who openly support him. I'm glad he got exposed, though. His followers still seem blind to what's going on.

Similarly, if you're aware, Maulana Tariq Jameel has also been exposed for several things, but that's a discussion for another day.

Long story short, back when I was in 10th grade, a friend and I did an exercise. We picked 10 random Ayat and Hadith that he had quoted and checked them against their original context. We found that the way he explained them often changed their actual meaning.

A few years later, he was confronted over similar practices, and his response was that he was a social media influencer, not a certified Mufti, so people were responsible for choosing to follow him.

You can try the same exercise yourself. Pick a few random Ayat and Hadith quoted by any speaker and read them in their original context. It's quite an eye-opener.

Although, I personally don't debate with Maulana Tariq Jameel's followers anymore. It just takes too much time and energy.

Wow, I did the same thing with Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza, found the same loophole. I have utter resspect for him, because he has taught me a lot of things. But, I am not a blind follower, so along with this and other mistakes, I am willing to confront him.

MTJ k to kia hi baat h :)
