18 persons wasted in Benue Market
Greeting to all my friends and readers, its been an amazing weekend but we are getting use to the fact that every day that we see comes with its different flavor, we can not but allow life play out, the way it wants to go.
Now when we see another new moment or day, we celebrate like tomorrow will not come, reasons being that the rate we loos love once on a daily bases is unexplainable, you can be talking with you business partner in a different location, but in just few hours, the story you will hear will shock you.
It has been reported that more than ten persons have been killed by suspected gunmen, who attacked a market in Benue State Nigeria, it is suspected that it is the fulani militia that attacked the market. its been some days the so call Fulani brothers have been quite but now we can not tell what shall be the faith of our own nation, in a time and season like this.
The information gathered by the news men is that the Fulani men, took it as a sole responsibility to go from village to village or from one community to another, they started the operations from Ukohol community and from there proceeded to about three communities within Guma Local Government Area of the state. All this took place on Friday and i can say that the 18 persons have been confirmed death.

Amongst the persons killed in this bloody operation, ten were killed at the market square, while the other remaining eight persons were killed within the same community.
The Gunmen are reported to have stormed the community, all dressed in blacks, like the commandos style and began to open the fire on the innocent market men and women.
The Chairman of that local government, In person of Michael Uba, confirmed to the newsmen, He reported that at about 4pm - 5pm, the community of Ukohol was attacked by the so called herders, they killed 10 people at the market square but children were also being killed.
it is also reported that if not that the security operators prompt response, the casualties would have been more than that, thank God for the response of the security operatives, that saved the day.
All this are tactics that the use to drive the indigenes of the community out from the community so that they can take holed of that community by night for their grazing. You can get more details of the information via this link
Ubah said: “My people at Ukohol were attacked by armed herders and killed about 10 people. The worst of it is that they even killed children below the age of two. They didn’t stop but went to three villages and settlements and killed another eight, making 18 victims. They killed 10 at the market and eight in the villages when they (herders) were returning.
“The security operatives were prompt and that’s what saved the day. If they had delayed, the casualty figure would have been more. It was a market day. They went there and started shooting. What is happening now is that they are trying to displace people from their villages and occupy the places. The herders appeared in black attire. No village is spared and the 10 council wards in Guma are affected.’’ Link.
