Use YOUR Hive Power! .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 260

Not sure if you have noticed, but the HBD debt is currently over 20%, which means that most author rewards are paid in HIVE and HP, instead of HBD and HP... Only a small portion of rewards come in HBD, and it will stay like that until the HBD debt goes under 20%... If we go over 30%, the HBD rewards (for content creators) will stop completely...

This can sound scary for people who are new to HIVE, but we had something similar happening in the past a few times, if I'm not wrong... As the debt ratio "tolerance" was much lower, it was happening more often... Also, I heard some strange way of thinking regarding HivePower and everyday usage of the same by "smaller accounts", which I would like to address shortly in this post...

Maybe you are aware or not, but I do 99.9% of my curation manually... Yes, I do have setup for automatic upvotes, but only if my voting mana goes over 98%, which happens very, very rarely... Also, I like to upvote comments too... Not only on my posts, but replies to my comments on other posts, too... That is something that I heard many times that people DON'T DO because they have low Hive Power, and they will not get "paid" curation rewards for it... That is true, but the comment upvote doesn't represent ONLY MONETARY VALUE, it shows to the author that you read the comment, that you appreciate it! That action SHOWS to the author that someone spent time on their content (comment or post), which MEANS A LOT! If you are an author, don't you like to see likes on your posts and comments? Well, imagine... Others like that too!

Liotes Divider Blue.png

If you expect to receive upvotes, you should UPVOTE others too!!!

That should be obvious, isn't it? Let's go further... As everyone likes upvotes, people tend to think that they will receive more upvotes for specific curators if they DELEGATE their HivePower to them... While for some curators that can be true, for most of them IT'S NOT!!! I understand the point of "instant gratification" when you get a high upvote, but that is a typical short-term thinking... Even if you get 2-3 upvotes, your engagement on posts will probably stay the same (or zero), you will not get more upvotes in the long term, and most importantly, you will not get followers as you relied on 1 big curator, instead of building your network, your community!

This is a social media network, and to build a network, you should also GIVE, not JUST TAKE...

Speaking of giving... Centralization of HivePower to a few curating accounts is a bad thing! This is a bit contradictory topic for me, as I'm also running a curation project at @liotes, called @Ourpick... But, I do understand the importance of having and using your OWN HIVE POWER! Imagine the situation that everyone on HIVE delegates ALL their HivePower to 5-6 big curators... They would curate 40-50 posts per day, and what happens with the remaining 500-1000 posts, or comments??

On the other side, 500 accounts upvoting 10 posts + 20 comments per day could cover 5K posts!! The future token distribution will be more equal and much more decentralized than when a few curators take it all! Next time, when you complain about the bad HIVE token distribution, think about your curating habits and routines, and your HP delegation...

IMO, you shouldn't delegate more than 10-20% of your Hive Power if you are a content creator on HIVE and want to build your network!

These are just a few important things that I wanted to share, as with a lower HIVE price, people think that their HIVE POWER isn't worth anything at all...

How do you use your Hive Power? Do you support people who spend their time on your content? Do you support authors from whom you read and learn something?

Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...

This week, we have mined 110 BEE tokens in total, 18 tokens MORE than the week before!

This week, we didn't get new delegators! But we got some new delegations from old members, as usual! Thanks, guys! Appreciate your support!

This pool doesn't charge fees, and you can earn up to 20% more by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?

As I already mentioned, the whole crypto market isn't doing well recently... The HIVE isn't an exception to it, and Hive-Engine tokens are suffering too... Some of them more, some of them less... Those with deeper liquidity and more pools paired with different tokens are doing better... For example, you can exchange today's bonus tokens, the SPS token, on more different exchanges... As it has the deepest liquidity paired with HIVE and USD, it didn't suffer that much price-wise as some others...

There will be distributed 130 SPS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

image.png

130 SPS tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 12.448%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 14.972%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...

Liotes Divider Blue.png

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.

All payments will be made after publishing this post...

I am not familiar with what happened, nor am I saying I should know about it; your explanation is the first I have heard. But yes, there will be more Hive in these transactions.
Whether this will raise the coin's price or value, I don't know. We will see.

I didn't need to learn how to set up automatic voting, because I vote manually for both posts and comments.
sometime later maybe 🙂

I mostly vote in the communities I post in and on the Hiver content I follow.
and I rarely go above 95 😃

You mention this for HBD.
Should we change something about the payment method? Instead 50/50 set 100?

You learned that fast! 95% is a nice number... :)

You don't have to change anything... It's automatic... Instead of getting HBD for the liquid author's reward, you will get the liquid HIVE amount (in the same value)...

If you don't want liquid HIVE, you can change it to 100%, which will give you HivePower for ALL your author rewards

This is the first time since I've been at Hive that the haircut rule has been applied, so I don't know if that could further discourage users, we'll see...

About how I use my HP, most of my votes are manual. I've always liked doing it that way since I started on Hive. And I also like to vote on the comments on my posts. I agree with you and I think we shouldn't delegate more than 10-20% of our HP, but unfortunately, I don't think most users feel that way.

It will be interesting to follow comments on this post and see how people use their HP... But, it's easy to spot the pattern...

Those who actively use their HivePower, supporting others, are those who are recognized as leaders on HIVE, or our "influencers"... 😉 Long-term thinking is creating stronger bonds and healthier communities! 💪

I do prefer to upvote manual as well , although i might not always write a proper comment but what i upvote i do manualy, and i try to check the content for being original to the best i can.
and for those votes that don't make 0.02 hive i have the @dustbunny helping me ;)

Yeah, Dustbunny is still helpful! Those who have low HivePower, they are too far away from 0.02, but anyway, upvote is an upvote... Support is support... ;)

Seems we will be able to stake much more HIVE quickly from our wallet by engaging with more posts and comments ;)

Hehehe.. No more tempting HBD in the wallet make the power up easier... 😃

Your analysis and observations are thorough and accurate, as always.

Ps: shouldn’t I be on the list too? Or did I do something wrong with $WORKERBEE delegation?

Hmmm.. You are in the table... There are many names, and I had to shrink the table, but you are there... ;)
