Don't Forget to Use Your Hive Power! .:. May 1st HivePUD
Currently, I'm in Graz, Austria, writing this post early in the morning as I couldn't sleep from the excitement of this day! The 2nd Hive @BuzzParty begins today under the name #HiveCreatorDays! We did have a (not that) small meetup last evening, but today more people will arrive and the event will officially begin!

What you can see in the image above are the views that we had while we were traveling by train from Linz to Graz yesterday! You know that I like sunny weather, the beach, and Spain, but this... This is probably the nicest view that I've had for a long time! In my opinion, and what I saw on my trips, Austria and Slovenia had probably the nicest mountain views! Btw. I took this photo with my mobile phone, through the train window... Imagine how it looks when you are hiking outside or having a picnic! 😍
Now, the topic for today... I was participating in the "live analysis" that @livinguktaiwan did in her Apis Hive Discord (btw. don't forget to check out that initiative's main page here https://apishive.blog/), where she was doing a 1-hour mentoring session with another Hivian... She did a great job guiding the user for "dos and don'ts" on HIVE, trying to help out by sharing her experience...
One of the important things that she underlined was about USING YOUR HIVE POWER by upvoting and curating other content (posts and comments)! It sounds very simple, but people tend to forget this basic stuff... Especially newbies... One of the reasons is not understanding how HIVE curation works, and the other is undervaluing your own power...
Even when you have only a few hundred of HivePower... Even if your upvote is valued at only 1 cent... Even if you are maybe under the threshold for getting any curation rewards... It is worth UPVOTING the content that you have consumed!!
I mean, it's nice to have more HivePower and to be able to give higher upvotes, but even upvoting the post without monetary value could mean a lot to the author! It shows YOUR appreciation, and if you can add a meaningful comment to the post, that appreciation multiplies the effect!!!
So, don't be shy to support posts because your upvote is too small! The right people do respect every support, and they will respect you more as you showed the effort, and dedicated your time to check out their work and to show appreciation!

After missing one day of power-up in March, I have to admit that I had doubts that it could happen again. As my friend @gadrian would say, the hardest moment to continue with a hustle is after failing to reach the goal! Anyway, happy to see that I got the #HivePUM badge for April as I did power-up some HIVE every single day!

Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is short for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It all began with great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork, and is held every 1st day of the month.

OMG such a beautiful picture you managed to take from the train! You're so right, seeing it with nothing in between has to be surreal. It looks like a landscape out of a movie, what a beautiful train ride you had! LOVED this photo!
About the PUD, I remember thinking while we were at Spacelend if everyone would remember at some point this habit hahaha I see it's hard for you to miss a beat, despite March. My goal is much simpler and I was worried about not having liquid Hive to make a power up of the minimum at least but thanks to the fiat-hive exchange that usually happens during these events between users, I was able to get my badge of the month hahaha.
Tbh, it was much more relaxed than before... I was better prepared with earplugs (just in case) + sleeping pills (thanks for the tip from Split)... All in all, I don't complain this time! Attended almost all events in Graz, and came back home healthy! Win-win! 😂
It's good when you have motion sickness and you train yourself to look through the window... The landscape was gorgeous! Traveling by train in Austria is a must!
We did take a bus to Klagenfurt on the way back, but it wasn't nearly as beautiful as the train trip!

I completely agree with you. People always check their notifications, and if someone new appears on the list—even if the interaction is minor—they’ll eventually click on the username. The same applies to comments.

Happy HPUD, and I agree. You should use up your voting power if its small on the main posts. I think it still adds up but I suggest voting on content that is likely to pass the dust threshold. Having more power helps support others on the chain when you curate.
Yeah, it's hard to upvote comments with low HP, but getting over the threshold for posts isn't that hard to do... So, maybe focus on upvoting posts at the beginning isn't a bad move...

I love the idea of using your Hive Power and I tend to try my best each day to make sure I appreciate posts that I consume and also when you leave a comment, it multiplies the effect.

It does have a multiplying effect... Maybe the results are not instant, but it will come... It's not about having thousands of people as followers, but more to have dozens of REAL friends and people who support you!

About curation, I agree, that's a habit is better formed early, even without thinking about curation rewards, but more about the impression the content made on you. In time, curation rewards will come, if HP is grown and not delegated away.
