People think they know everything in the universe, but in fact, there are events that occur in front of thousands of people and no one can give a proper answer to such occurrences. You can also concur with it because the Phoenix Lights incident is one of those that cannot be explained. In my view what occurred in the sky over Arizona in 1997 was still a mystery regardless of all investigations and official explainations. I say that it intended it to refer to authorities attempting to ignore it yet thousands of witnesses reported witnessing something unusual that night. I say it because this episode made me remember that those in authority deceive us and make us trust them without seeing facts.
Phoenix lights happened on March 13, 1997 when thousands of individuals in Arizona and Nevada saw unusual lights in the sky. Previously there were instances when UFO sightings would be reported by a few individuals who can be discounted as unreliable but what was witnessed by a whole city this time. I also thought that the sighting of mass UFOs would make governments take them seriously however, in the real sense they simply would give absurd answers and move on. The lights were huge in size and took the shape of V. Besides a majority of those witnesses had said that the object was silent which cannot be the case with any conventional aircraft that size.

It might not be out of order to mention that the governor of Arizona of that time also held a press conference and made fun of the incident by introducing someone dressed in alien costumes. This reaction to me was disrespectful to the thousands of people who had seen something real and desired answers. They were those individuals who witnessed the lights using their eyes and were insulted by the joke of the governor. They were treated like fools instead of being taken seriously. I did not experience such dismissal but many times when individuals bring up stories that do not conform to the official narrative they receive the ridicule.

The military later said that the lights were flares that were being dropped during training. I believe it is a very poor excuse since flares do not make ideal V-shaped shapes and also they do not remain in the sky as long as the people who saw them said. It is debated then whether the Phoenix Lights were alien spaceships or even better still, whether they were military aircrafts. They did not realize the importance of this mass sighting and its dismissal with poor explanations is an action that caused people to lose their trust.
