Should we bring back corporal punishment in school ?

The rate of discipline in our school is drastically declining and it is detrimental to our education system and the society at large.

‎A lady ones said, bring back corporal punishment and our education will be okay again. To some extent , I agree with this statement, because there is a common saying that student of those days were more disciplined than students of today. So what has really changed, where have we gotten it wrong and what are we supposed to fix ?

‎When I asked my guest , he tagged discipline in the past as analog discipline and discipline today as digital. He further explained that discipline in the past the analog discipline was more of giving a child manual punishment. For example when you commit an offense , you will either be flogged or giving a manual task to do and that will term you. He added that even as at then the parents will not come to school to harras you. But in today's discipline, a child is just being counsel and if you mistakenly flogged someone's child , the following day, the parents will come to school and threaten to beat you up or come with a police.

‎This alone has made teachers handicapped in the aspect of giving discipline to students to avoid issues. Thereby they only focus on their core curriculum activities, teach and leave the class. And this act is not helping the school or the child because it will make the child go wild.

‎So to bring back discipline in our schools everyone must be involved, including the community the parents and a bit of corporal punishment should be refined and brought back to school.
