The world is colorful. From the different colors, everything will look beautiful. Can you imagine if the world was only black and white?
Some adults may not be familiar with the concept of coloring. Do they know the primary colors? How about mixing colors? In this post, I would like to present why you should encourage your children to explore colors.
Artists can paint some beautiful pictures because they know the combination of colors. Your children do not recognize colors at an early age.
By knowing colors, children will learn the verbal language too, because they will try to speak and tell the colors of things around them.
Your children will be able to apply coloring concepts at higher levels of skill. While you introduce colors to your children, you can tell the primary colors. Later, you can also ask your children to play by mixing the primary colors. The result of the mixture will be surprising.
Children like to play. You should create a playful activity to introduce colors. You should prepare the materials and equipment. The place can be indoors or outdoors.
What materials do you need? Before you create the set of activities, you should decide on the place and the theme. If you want to introduce the mixture of color concept, you 'd better use paints, paintbrushes, papers. You also need some materials like leaves , stones, or other small objects.
If you have prepared all the materials, you can start by painting a sheet of paper with some leaves or stones on it. Paint the paper randomly. The focus is on introducing colors and mixing colors. Don't worry about the result.
This is the result of mixing colors. I put some leaves on the paper. Then the kid painted randomly on the paper, with some parts of the paper covered with leaves. Can you see some white parts in the painting ? Those are the shapes of the leaves.
In this activity, I did not focus on how to paint but rather how to introduce primary colors and mixing concepts. I asked the kid to paint with a paintbrush on the paper with the primary colors and mixture colors.
That was one of the activities through which I introduced colors and mixing colors to children. Children felt fun because the activities were like playing magic. They were surprised when they saw the result of the mixture of blue and yellow colors. The mixture turned out to be green. It was like magic for children. Thanks for reading. I hope you can take advantage of this post.
