When students hear the word "homework," their minds will be bursting with such heavy tasks. Writing, reading, and doing activities with books makes children feel burdensome.

I'd like to share some ideas for fun homework with daily chores words and phrases with you.

Session 1 - in the classroom or meeting

You should practice the targeted phrases for daily chores during this session.Learning in the classroom is not enough. Children should practice and use the world in the real life. The classroom meeting has the objectives of introducing the words and confirming the correct spelling and pronunciation.

Here are some lists of the phrases that I taught to my students.

1. Make the bed
2. Feed the fish
3. Wash the dishes
4. Wash the car
5. Help mom in the kitchen
6. Water the flower
7. Sweep the floor
8. Turn off the laptop

You can add more house chores to your students' list.

Session 2 - Homework

How to make homework fun! Playing with a handphone is a fun activity for your students. I tried to use the handphone as the medium for my homework.
Activities

• Ask children's parents to take some photos of the house chores in the classroom session.
• After that, ask the students to send the photos to your classroom group.
• Give comments and appreciation to children who have submitted photos of their house chores.

Session 3 - Review in the Classroom

At the second meeting in the classroom, teachers need to print or display the pictures of the students' activities. Show the photos to the class and ask the students to say the phrases in the pictures.

This session is also fun because children will watch the different photos of their friends at home. Children will say the targeted phrases voluntarily. Teachers may need to add some comments with jokes to the photos.

Classroom activities should be fun so that children will enjoy learning. Feeling fun will motivate children to learn English better. They will concentrate on the activities. Writing is important, but teaching how to write must not make students lose interest in learning English because of the heavy tasks. Thanks for reading my post.
