Inspirational Story: A Struggling Student

Greetings Education Community.

I hope everyone is well. By the grace of God, I am also well. Today I want to share the story of a struggling student with you.

Originally, there was a student in our village. His family was very poor and they had only one house to live in. The father of that poor family only worked in agriculture. The father was almost 60 years old and he is now almost old. However, his father had a great desire that he would educate his son in a healthy education and make himself proud of being a working father.

The boy whose name I am telling the story of was Majnu. Majnu is the son of a poor family and he continued his education with great difficulty. The headmaster in the primary school was very distressed seeing his poverty. A large amount of donations were arranged for Majnu in the school. Majnu was distributed free books and along with this, notebooks and pens were provided from the school. Along with this, a stipend was arranged.

Majnu was a very good student. Since he was the son of a poor man, Majnu was very patient and continued his education with great difficulty. When he was admitted to class six, his education expenses increased. He was even deprived of the grant that was given to primary school. At one point, Majnu started making beli flower garlands. There is a large beli flower garden next to our house. The women of the village go to that garden to collect flowers and sell them for 50 paisa per piece. Majnu started making flower garlands and by selling them, he earns 50 to 100 taka daily.

Along with making flower garlands, I saw Majnu raising some goats. Majnu took goats to a garden and I saw him sitting with a book and reading. The goats eat grass in the mango garden and I saw Majnu reading using a mat. One day I asked him, can one earn his livelihood by raising goats only?

Then Majnu replied to me, I am only raising goats to continue my studies and I am making flower garlands.

I was very happy to hear Majnu's words. He is only doing partial work to continue his studies. But his main work was to study and make himself self-reliant.

At one point, Majnu passed the Higher Secondary Examination in 2015 and received an honor by getting an A plus. And this honor impressed the entire locality. Because how can a child from such a poor family get such good results?

Basically, today's story is a real-life story. Today's story is written based on the true events of our village. I did not tell the story to belittle anyone, but rather it is an inspiring story for the students who come to us today. If you are a student reading the story, then it will be very useful for you. Because I shared a story with you about how a student from a poor family passed the Higher Secondary Examination by getting an A plus. I hope this wonderful story will make a huge impact on the lives of our students. Thank you so much for sticking together, education community.
