Ever seen a movie that cracked you up from the beginning to the end? "Well, this is the movie." I haven't been following up on Tyler Perry's latest release till recently, after watching "Straw," I decided to keep my notification bar on check.
The only thing that attracted me to this movie was that it was a Tyler Perry film. That feeling alone kept me glued to downloading the movie. Tyler Perry is known for his outstanding production in movies.
The movie "Madea's Destination Wedding" tells the story of Madea and her extended family who travel to the Bahamas for her grand niece's wedding, which happens to take place in two weeks, prompting the entire family to travel to a resort in the Bahamas.
Tension arises as Brian "the bride's father" is suspicious of the groom "Zavier"; he sees him as being immature for his looks, and he questions his daughter for her reason to marry someone whom the family hasn't seen before, and why the sudden rush when she could actually take her time.
Brian finds out that his ex-wife is the one in charge of pushing the wedding so fast. During the trip, Madea overheard a conversation between Brian's ex-wife and her husband that Tiffany tends to benefit financially from the wedding.
Madea told Brian about the whole agreement behind the marriage. But then the wedding couldn't be cut off because the couple is madly in love with each other. So despite everything that happened, the wedding still pushed forward, but then left Brian with so many debts to cover.
I'm a huge supporter of Tyler Perry movies after seeing Straw, and that extended to loving every other movie. The movie possessed a lot of laughs, often I would find myself laughing so hard that I would have to support my heart by laying my hands on my chest.
The movie was a great watch, but then I thought the movie was all about Tiffany's wedding. What I don't understand is the point that the whole movie focuses more on Brian and his financial responsibilities in sponsoring the wedding, thereby giving Tiffany less screen time.
Enough about Brian, let's throw a little focus on the groom, "Zavier." I think he was supposed to be polite despite meeting Tiffany's family for the first time, but then his personality and attitude were horrible. I think that was supposed to be a red flag and why would anybody marry someone like that.
Aside from these highlights that were made, the movie was incredible to an extent though.
I'm gonna rate this movie a 6/10 and images are screenshots from my phone.
Thanks for reading 🧡
