Movie review for broken hallelujah

This will be my second movie review here i hope it's worth your read.

Broken hallelujah is a new release by bimbo ademoye currently on YouTube. It's a faith based movie on waiting.

Summary of the movie

The movie started with little Ziya ( bimbo ademoye) being baptized . She had lost her father shortly after she was born and her mother three years after. She grew with her grandmother. Who later passed on. She connected with her childhood crush , they fell in love, got married,and waited for years to have children.

My opinion

Bimbo is a talented actress and writes good story that keeps me glue to her page. I could actually relate to this movie.The waiting season can be really hard most times, nothing ever prepares you for it and having people there with you makes it easier.

For me, It's how Dili( daniel etim) and Ziya( bimbo ademoye) had planned to wait for a year after marriage before having children and when it was time, conceiving seems really difficult. Medically they were satisfied okay. They tried IVF but it failed it was like her body didn't want any if it.

Serving in the house of God while you're are waiting and praying without answers took a toll on Ziya and she gave up on God . Years of trying without results made her quit. The beautiful thing is, there's always that presence in human form that was always there.

Like when she had her baptism, or is it when she was almost in danger as a child and that same presence was there to prevent it, when she was losing hope in having a child that same presence came to instill hope in her.

I loved the fact that Dili's love was unconditional, he was the pillar and strength she needed. Dili was faithful i was actually scared when dotun( eso dike) was scheming things on how he should have children outside cause time wasn't on his side, but he stood his ground and held onto God's word.

Our mind has a way of playing tricks on US and sending wrong signals to our body. That's what happened to Ziya the longing for a child ,mixed with the herbal medicine she took change her hormones and made her feel pregnant. There where signs of pregnancy and all but when she had a scan done it showed nothing.

I cried on her behalf when the doctor told them this it was heartbreaking honestly .

But then after rain comes sunshine, years of waiting and learning to lean on each other and fighting together while trusting God brought their babies to them. The waiting room it's the longest and hardest place to be.

My rating

It's a beautiful movie put together from the cast to the acting and the story.
Will give it a 9/10.
