The Home Coming

Well I think I speak for a lot of people in Nigeria and Ghana when I say we love love a Timini and Bimbo movie collaboration. For me I think Timini plays out the bad boy role really well so he manages to catch my attention each time he’s on a movie. This time round we are doing a Christmas season movie.

Who else has noticed that most of the Nigerian movie channels on YouTube seem to be catching on the same trend where by they are all doing movie about December. It’s not necessarily about Christmas but it’s just something to mark the holiday feeling.

Today the movie I’ll be talking about is “The homecoming”. I know this is not a new title as most holiday season movies have similar titles to this. This is a Nigerian movie which was released a few days ago. Precisely 6 days ago on YouTube on Bimbo Ademoye official YouTube page.

The homecoming is a Nigerian romantic movie. It features stars like Bimbo Ademoye, Timini Egbunson and Bisola Aiyeola.

It is a movie about a young girl who has an ambition of being a woman in finance. She nurses this dream from her childhood and wants to hear nothing about other professions which doesn’t have to do with finance. Things take a wrong turn when she finds out her grandpa is ill and is in need of money so they commence treatment.

After her grandpas illness she is left with not other option than to go out job hunting for anything which can bring money home after her best friend advices her to try other things.

This movie is like any regular Nigerian film that you have watched in the past. For me, what stands out for me is the role of Bisola in this movie. Bisola in this movie is portrayed as one of those annoying bosses which seems to hold a grudge against her family and instead of leaving it to family she takes it out on her employees as well.

For me what made me want to watch a movie like this is because of Timini and Bimbo. You know when you see them in a movie it mostly leads to a love story between them both. Well, you won’t be disappointed about the love part as it does portray a love story between them.

You know Timini will always take his role personal in a movie like this so yh you won’t be disappointed with what Timini does.

I like the way the movie was concentrated far away from sexual scenes and all that. Most of the time sexual scenes are included in a movie which have no relevance in certain scenes. In this movie affection is displayed in various ways which do not feature kissing mostly but little bits of service to the one you love.

For me a movie like this gets a rating of an 8 out of 10. This is because I liked the quality and how most of the characters didn’t take their roles for granted as well.
