Not Just Another Office Romance: "Love Scout" K-Drama Review

Even if it's just another office romance, this series still crosses all the marks for a slow burn, green flag and family drama. I saw this series last week and now, I wish I could unsee it so I can see it again. It's a series that made me all smiles from start to finish, it's been a long while I felt like that.

It wasn't recommended to me but I was curious to see the male lead as he has always been in the supporting role for other series I've seen him in. I had good expectations for this story but it went above my expectations and even gave me just the best treat I want in a romance genre storyline.

I hope it's not out of place to give a rating before the full review because this one really got me excited from seeing it to writing about it. So I'm rating this romance drama 9.5/10 and highly recommended for you. It would be a perfect rating from me if it had more episodes to see lol.

"Love Scout" is a 2025 Korean series having 12 episodes of romance, workplace and family drama based genres. The series is starred by "Lee Jun-hyuk" as a single dad and "Han Ji-min" as single workaholic CEO. The drama is another workplace romance with good memorable twists.

Kang Ji-yoon is the CEO of a headhunting company, does nothing but work and she is good at her job. She thinks the world revolves around working and paying her employees until she meets Yoo Eun-ho, a handsome and perfectionist who is employed to become her new secretary.

Because Yoo Eun-ho once went against her in her pursuit for a client, both didn't start off on a good note. This made his first weeks of being her secretary extra difficult but he was not planning to give up as he got the job with great incentives and benefits and also to fulfil his daughter's wish.

Even though we all knew they would end up together, it was still a beautiful slow burn romance story to watch. How the workaholic and stuck up CEO began to fall for her secretary was a memorable sight to see. From anger to denial to acceptance while he was slowly falling too.

Another twist to the story is both having a linked past that defined how they turned out to be, one is an unhappy workaholic and another a sweet walking green flag, the perfect dad who still thinks he's not doing enough. I think the story did a great work to pair opposite sides so beautifully.

Although the series has just 12 episodes and I would have wished for an extra episode to have more of their jealousy phase which I think was the cutest and most funny side of Yoo Eun-ho in the story, every character still got good enough screen play and just the happy ending we want.

The series is a beautiful definition of an all round chemistry. There is not just the chemistry between the female and male lead but also the chemistry between the father and his daughter and the one between the CEO and her secretary's daughter. This is a storyline you'll keep smiling to.

No doubt, there are annoying characters like the villain who I think didn't have good cause for what she did in the story but at least, she made the love story more beautiful. Her end was fair enough even though she still didn't show any remorse but at least, there was peace again.

While I keep shipping the main characters love story, I can't ignore the bestfriend to Kang Ji-Yoon, the CEO. She has this relationship with her husband that is relatable with real life marriages. The understanding after misunderstandings, the agreements and the full support to their friends.

It's a must-watch recommendation from me.
