Let me tell you how my day went! - Jumper

(edited)

Let me tell you how my day went!
Coffee in Paris, surfing in the Maldives, a nap in the Kilimanjaro mountains.
Oh, and I got a phone call from a girl in Rio. Then I jumped back to watch the NBA finals.
Of course from the best place!
These were before noon, I would continue, but in short, this is; I'm standing on top of the world!

If we had the ability to teleport ourselves from point 'a' to point 'b', how different would our use cases for this ability be?

  • Teleport to a bank vault and walk out with a sack of cash!
  • Visiting 7 wonders of the world in the same day!
  • Test your palate by taking part in different countries and cultures at every meal!
  • Visiting the peaks where those who gave their lives to reach it!
  • Seeing the people you find sexy and attractive whenever you want!

Moreover, the fact that all these trips are free of charge is as attractive as the places to go and see. Especially considering the point where fuel prices have come!

I must say that some of the above is my fictional fantasy. The ability to teleport is too great an idea to be true anyway…

… but when we think of cinema, we think of ideas that know no boundaries and barriers. The universes, lives and events created between reality and fiction draw us in front of the screen.

Although the 2008 movie Jumper is interesting in terms of its subject, it deserves a lot of criticism for its handling. The reason for this may be that the subject-oriented expectation is high and the expectation is not met when we move on to the subject.

The main character, David, had to live with an un-ideal father who was abandoned by his mother at the age of 5. But it won't be long before he has to live with the father because David has a talent he hasn't discovered.

As long as the difficulties encountered in life are overcome, it nourishes us as experience and strength. In a moment of difficulty in David, he discovers the ability to "jump". Of course, the reason for this is David's high school love and interest in him.

Let's assume that anyone uses his teleporting ability at home, on the street and in all his works. What kind of person would this person be, who could reach the remote at an arm's distance in his house, even the refrigerator a few meters away, by teleporting? He'd probably be lazy and a chubby-faced man whose inactivity was reflected in his features. ..

… but David is pretty fit.

Why should I settle down when the whole world is mine?

This is a sentence that can describe someone with the ability to jump, and it's my favorite throughout the entire movie. Why would someone who can teleport anywhere, anytime limit himself to a certain point?

The ability to teleport from one point to another is one of the main pillars that make up the movie the entire time. Considering our travels by plane, ship, train and bus, there are a few places that everyone wants to visit and see…

… but when traveling is as easy and inexpensive as teleporting, the reality of this line in the movie is as sobering as the water hitting my face while I wash it.

When it comes to traveling the world; Everyone has a list!

There are other columns that make up the movie.

Knights killing jumpers!

A jumper born from a knight!

I haven't done any research on whether or not a sequel exists or if it will be made. Because I want to limit myself to the movie I'm reviewing. The final scenes officially scream the future of the sequel and provide insight into the sequel.

It's like a writer who has added the foreword of the next book he will write to the end of the previous book, and there is a quick transition. This may be due to the bias that was formed because of my expectation on the film.

The actors of the movie directed by Doug Liman; Hayden Christensen, Jamie Bell, Rachel Bilson, Samuel L. Jackson

I'm sure everyone has something to say about Samuel L. Jackson, but I have nothing to say to Samuel, who I saw in this movie, or rather couldn't see.

Expectations are always high for someone with the capacity to make a movie watchable on their own.

The screen is yours to watch the movie and form your own opinion!

Enjoy watching!

Thanks for your review of Jumper! I remember watching this movie and thinking it was pretty interesting. I'm sure it doesn't hold up to current cgi but I thought it was pretty good. Thanks.

Thank you, maybe my expectation was a little too high!

I watched the movie and enjoyed the action.
However, it also reminded me that most person, when they can, will most likely use their advantage for their own benefit. 😁

To be honest, I would use such a talent for my own benefit a few times. :)

Thank you.

Love Christian Haydensen, thought this movie didnt a fair shake because of all of the trendy prequel hate...(boy you got some crappy Star Wars movies now eh???) Its a decent film and worth the old college try...like redubll and vodka.
