LOWEST-Rated Comedies!

Hello, amazing Cine TV Community. Today is no different than the last couple of days, and we’ll be continuing in our low-rated series. Seems like a lot of you have been outraged at the films that have been poorly rated, with the argument that most of those films did not deserve their low ratings. While that may or may not be true, I still have another genre for you guys to check out today that had poor ratings. COMEDY has always been a free-for-all, but what happens when it feels like the comedy fails to hit the mark?

The Single Mom’s Club (2014)

With as low as 3.3 ratings on IMDB, The Single Mom’s Club tells the story of five single mothers who come together and bond after their children get into trouble at school. With husbands who don’t pay child support, drug-addict children, fear of losing financial support, and the struggle to keep their child from a life of crime while battling stressful careers, these women from diverse backgrounds are more similar than they know. But now that they’ve met themselves, they’re willing to make the most out of it.

Not the best in the game, but when it comes to Tyler Perry’s productions, there will always be doubts, right?

Saltburn (2023)

With a rating of 3.1 that just might be fitting, Saltburn is a horror comedy that tells the story of Oliver, who is a scholarship student struggling to fit into the University of Oxford. He befriends Felix, who is a popular student from an affluent family, and after hearing Oliver’s plight and all he had struggled through with his family, plus the sudden death of Oliver’s father, which leaves him distraught, Felix decides to invite Oliver over to his family's house, Saltburn. When you think things can’t possibly get any worse, something even lower is in store.

I don’t know, guys. My tongue is tied with this one. You just have to discover why this got its rating by yourself.

Bridewars (2009)

With a not-too-bad rating of 3.9, Bridewars tells the story of Emma and Liv, who have been best friends for the longest time. Since childhood, they’ve both dreamt of having their weddings at the Plaza Hotel. While Liv has a boyfriend who is just a successful as she is, Emma’s boyfriend is controlling and always taking advantage of her calm nature. Soon enough, each of them gets the proposal they’ve always been waiting for, but then, the worst thing happens when their weddings are both slated at their dream location by mistake. These best friends’ inability to compromise spells war for their friendship.

Comedy is definitely guaranteed with this one, but maybe that’s not all it takes?

There you have it, guys. Our comedy specials with a rating that may or may not be deserving. What are your thoughts? And which of these have you seen?

Of the three I've only seen Bridewars, and although it's entertaining, I didn't like it at all.

Tyler Perry's Single Moms Club, might not be so intriguing or interesting, but it's worth watching. You get to learn a lot about the struggles of single motherhood and the challenges they go through trying to raise better kids, we also learn alot from how they supported each other through challenges and difficulties.

I would rate it a 6/10.
