Take a looksy here!
A throwback to the era when films were an event, not something you'd just flip your phone and get on with it. People looked forward to attending such events! Where have those days gone?!
They used to make them really good, didn't they? Those dreamy days in the theater with grandeur, allure, and glamour that gave the parties involved such mythical appearance! Perhaps it is time to cherish the era, encapsulating it!
And then those films from the 80s came with their colorful palettes. Cyberpunks with flashing neon lights, those neo-noirs with all the rad vibes! How could you forget?
The most exclusive of them all, an ode to the drive-in cinema! Open fields, big screen, totally in your comfort zone. Only 3 editions to grab from!
Vintage television set, the magic box of the old world. Some motion pictures belonged to TVs and it is not merely a sentimental idea as we've seen Jean-Luc Godard insisted we see his The Image Book rightly on an old tv! Now you can own a piece of that retro TV viewership too!
The current contest Cinetv Contest: Character Most Like You! is still open and the deadline is 22nd March 2022, 11:59 PM, UTC time. So you still have some time if you want to take part in it.
The results will be published next week, along with a brand new contest.
Let's highlight some of the mentionable posts from this week that was posted in CineTV. We want to recognize exceptional pieces and let the authors know their efforts are not futile. This is also a fine way to get some more traction in their posts.
@amirtheawesome1 wrote A Love Letter To Synecdoche, New York, his poignant ode to a masterful work from Charlie Kaufman, a renowened screenwriter turned filmmaker. A great film as well.
@hubeyma wrote on Captain Fantastic with Viggo Mortenssen, a renowned yet polarizing film from 2016 that took a shot at consumerism, mass media culture and populism.
@marvan777 is new to hive, but it appears they have sound knowledge on some of the technicalities on set. Their post Shots, Angles, Movements and Points of view of the camera is a good introduction to interested parties.
@evaredskin is on top her game again. This week she wrote on Blazing Saddles (1974), an action-comedy far ahead of its time and quite crazy in its execution as well.
@presidentx introduced us with Abe (2019), a comedy film that to addresses racial tension.
Rebecca, Hitchcock's early masterpiece was released this week. It is a film drenched with loss, possessivenessâserved in a bowl of horror and thrill. The frames are meticulously formed as well as the classic Hitchcockian suspense is there to take the audience on a haunting ride.
One of the founding films of The French New Wave, by one of the founders of the movement Jean-luc Goddard. His jump cuts and abrupt filmmaking technique became iconic later on. While the film can be praised for its ingenuity only, it is one of the greatest romantic films ever made. A poignant drama.
The master of body horror was born this week. This Videodrome, The fly, Existenz, Shivers are all quite pivotal for the genre itself. But Cronenberg also shines in other genres, proving he is not an one-trick pony. His films such as A history of violence and Eastern Promises are masterful gangster dramas.
Besson tried so many things and while some of his work like Lucy is a complete failure, his Leon the professional and The fifth element remain intriguing and masterful works. He deserves to be cherished.
Oldman acted as a villain in Leon the professional, and he acted in many many many more cinema. His versatile acting portfolio presents him as a true human chameleonâalways able to slip in a new character's shoe and change himself completely. There aren't many actors who can go toe-to-toe with Gary Oldman. He was born this week.
WE WILL RETURN.
It is such an honor to feature here once more. I love the freedom CineTV grants us that allows me to talk about a movie without needing to make it a review. Thank you for providing me with this space.
I'd love to see another horror outing from Cronenberg. His son has been putting out some amazing films and I'll always make time for his work too.
Thank you so much for the honor of putting our post in your content! Our profile is for a couple! And we both love everything audiovisual related, and cinema is the main thing!
Who comments here is Ducci, I'm a student of Audiovisual and I'm looking to share my experience and evolution in the area! That's why I've been publishing all the work I've done, both related to photography and cinema!
Hope you continue to like it!

Great newspaper. I'm not so much a movie person but this newsflash is a fantastic read
Congratulations to the selected individuals. I enjoyed reading all of the posts and I am sure I will enjoy the movies as well. Thanks for your post.
Cronenbergâs son did a movie maybe last year called Possessor that I really enjoyed. Itâs nice to see a family continue a legacy of great art
