My Mother had a profund impact on me growing up and I know that not everyone got to have that experience. I am glad that we have Mother's Day here in the USA but only devoting one day to the sacrifice and love that mothers give is not enough. If you are blessed to still have your mother around, reach out and talk to her and thank her for what she did for you.

With that, I want to thank everyone that entered the contest this past week. It was a pretty good turnout. As we work on getting the routine more consistent with these contests, I hope that you will share them with your friends! Thanks again to all of you that entered! :)

Favorite Movie with Best Friends

After our amazingly busy weekend with my in-laws visiting, Mother's Day, and my oldest son's birthday, I ended up going the next weekend to visit my best friend who lives 6 hours away. I drove to their house and stayed for 4 days. It was an awesome time of rejuvenation! We played golf, ate some great food, played ping pong, listened to music, and watched some of our favorite movies. It was a fantastic time to retell some of our favorite memories and get caught up. There is something special about spending time with someone who you have a lengthy history with and connecting like only you two can.

We see this in certain movies as well, where two people have a deep bond of friendship and it is just so evident on the screen. For this contest, I want you to choose a film that shows this value of friendship and exemplifies for you what friendship is all about.

What about the friendship in the movie stands out to you? How does this relate to the friendships that you have had over the years? What would have made this depiction of friendship better? What characteristics of the friendship make it such a great example?
