Cine TV Community Spotlight #35

Hello and welcome to the 35TH edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. The Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun in a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community and showcase the work of deserving authors.

And it’s all simple. At the end of every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style, and word count. It is not a contest, but just our way of creating exposure for the works we enjoyed throughout the week and boosting exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.

Title: Birdbox

Mothers are special beings and their love is far reaching. Sometimes they can seem like they are being too much, pressuring and demanding but all these stem from a place of love. The movie I'm about to review is titled Bird box. This movie is a horror thriller film. I'm a horror movie fan and as such this movie was ideal. Most importantly, this movie reflects the tough choices a mother has to make on a daily basis to survive and protect her kids frim danger while fending for their daily needs.

Title: Wingwomen

Also One of the film's strongest aspects is the portrayal of the bond between Carole and Alex (Our two Star in the movie). Their chemistry is undeniable, and their banter adds a layer of humor and warmth to the film. The dynamic between the two leads is engaging and adds depth to the story.
This movie also portrays female friendship and the blend in Action and comedy is mind-blowing particularly noted.

Title: Nonnas

Some of the good things about the movie are the cast. Most of them are actual Italians so they don't need to "play a role" that much, it comes naturally. Also we get to see actual character development not only regarding Joe's life but we also get to see how the grandmas take everything and how their lives are getting better with this experience. It also acts as a reminder of 3rd age and how we need to take better care of them.

Title: Pretty Little Liars

I've said it so many times, I watch movies on a whim. Most especially, if I have seen a fun clip from the movie. A clip of a girl running from a masked man, on TikTok, was all it took me to download the eighteen episodes of this crime drama, which I completed it in three days. Read on, while I tell you the amazing, fun and entertaining things about this drama. Pretty little liars is a crime drama, with a total of eighteen episodes, divided into two seasons.

Title: Rise of the Guardians: A Magical Adventure for All Ages

One thing that amazes me is how adults mostly relate to different things children are going through because we were all once a child, and this is why it is very easy for adults to watch movies made for kids and still understand what the movie is trying to teach. After the shenanigan surrounding Will Smith and him giving the comedian, Chris Rock, a life resetting slap on a global stage, I never really came across any movie he featured in. It could be that he took a break from acting or the movies he featured in didn't really make waves, but I wasn't consciously searching. At least not until I saw a movie titled “Focus” with his face on the poster and thought “where has this guy been”?

Title: Four Nollywood Recommendations I Enjoyed

I never thought this day would come but obviously, I am here and for that I am grateful. Before I see a movie, there is always a reason why I want to watch it. These ones, I didn’t bother with the question because I already knew the answer. I have been carried away with too many Hollywood and movies and I needed some form of mental cleansing. Nollywood stands for Nigerian movie production and contrary to my belief we have the second largest film industry and have contributed significantly in revenues to the box office.

Title: Miracle in Cell No. 7

"This isn't a Christian movie!" my sister screamed through her text when I dramatically asked her if the movie she just recommended was a Christian movie or not. It was because of the name, and I'm not a fan of religious dramas. Also, she hyped it up as the most emotional movie I would ever see, so I went in with a bit of resistance, determined not to cry, just to prove her wrong. I stayed strong for the first half of the movie. But the second half? I didn’t sob, not like I did when I watched The Moon Embracing the Sun but tears rolled down my cheeks, quiet and a bit persistent
