Hello and welcome to the 54TH edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. The Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun in a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community and showcase the work of deserving authors.

And it’s all simple. Every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style, and word count. It is not a contest, but just our way of creating exposure for the works we enjoyed throughout the week and boosting exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.

So, in no particular order, here are the authors spotlighted for this week:

Title: Seven Sisters One Identity

monday.jpg

The unexpected turns in this movie, nothing prepared me for them. Have I already said it’s the third time I’m watching this movie? But then I’m still moved by how everything turns around in the middle and in the end. Oh and the main plot of the movie, I mean, when you get to see how the government was actually handling overpopulation, you’d just shake your head or I don’t know, be disappointed. For me, I think this movie was just trying to expose the government of a particular country but I’m not ready to look into it.

Title: Chief of War

I am being honest because what brought my attention was Jason Momoa. The fact that an indigenous actor performed a story set in his cultural heritage was refreshing and it was needed. However, in addition to the actor, there was the hope of a story that has seldom been told that dared to talk about colonization, cultural erosion and the unsung heroes of island nations. We have all heard of the European conquest of the Americas, the British Empire in Asia, or the Atlantic slave trade-but the Pacific Islands? The spotlight is seldom put on those stories. The Chief of War makes a difference.

Title: Shogun || A Stunning Series

sho.jpg

One thing I absolutely love about this series is how strategic Toranaga was. He played games that even the viewers could understand until it all unraveled and this was nothing short of brilliant. I enjoyed knowing that Toranaga was not one to bend easily but watching how he convinced his men that he had fully surrendered. The atmosphere and authenticity around the movie is top notch. I like how meticulously chosen everything seemed; ranging from the costumes to production designs. The cinematography vividly transports viewers to Japan in the 17th century.

Title: The Mist

What I still can’t wrap my head around is the switch up. It felt way too drastic. The 360 was enough to make me lose interest. I somehow saw Adrian being the rapist but I don’t understand how there wasn’t even a slight bit of forewarning to what he was. If the game was to blindside even the audience, then okay. However, it felt like they just needed to give a quick twist and turn a stable character to a crazed demon. I lost my zeal to continue watching at that point but I had only two more episodes.

Title: Madea's Destination Wedding

madea.jpg

The movie was a great watch, but then I thought the movie was all about Tiffany's wedding. What I don't understand is the point that the whole movie focuses more on Brian and his financial responsibilities in sponsoring the wedding, thereby giving Tiffany less screen time. Enough about Brian, let's throw a little focus on the groom, "Zavier." I think he was supposed to be polite despite meeting Tiffany's family for the first time, but then his personality and attitude were horrible.

Title: Here to Defend Daenerys Targaryen Action in the Final Season

daenerys.png

The fact that she had to die by the hand of Jon Snow just made me dislike Jon Snow. Jon might have been related to the Targaryens, but he is not the rightful person to take that throne because he hasn't even done anything worthy of taking the throne. If he wanted the throne of the North, he could have it, but if he wanted the Iron Throne, he should have done that with Daenerys. I am sure that if Cersei hadn't allowed the townspeople into the capital, the only people who would have perished would have been Cersei and her army.

Excellent!! 🌿
It's always a pleasure to access the curated list you publish from time to time. This strengthens the community's work, enhances the values of cinema, and paves the way for a shift in favor of true works of art.
My work as a screenwriter has allowed me to express here, like nowhere else, my opinion on films and series that are part of human history and convey a set of human values, ranging from enjoyment to pure entertainment, and also to personal growth.
Much success to all those mentioned in this selection, and let's not let a community like this fall. Let's be original, creative, and promote the beautiful things that humankind creates to give meaning to their lives!!!
Thank you very much.🌿✍️
