Disney Plus zwiększa ceny, więc niedługo pewnie na jakiś (krótki zapewne, hehe, ja uwielbiam bajki disneya) czas zrezygnujemy - a więc na późnowieczorny sobotni seans wybraliśmy film z tego katalogu, póki jest. Wybrałam "W okamgnieniu", bo zaciekawił mnie opis.
Disney Plus is raising its prices, so we'll probably have to give it up for a while (or a short while, as I love Disney pictures) soon. So, for a late-night Saturday night screening, we chose a film from their catalog while it was still available. I chose "In the Blink" because the description intrigued me.
Mój małżonek dał tej pozycji mocne 3/10, czego ja kompletnie nie rozumiem. Może owszem nie było to arcydzieło, ale wciąż: fabuła była ciekawa. A film skłaniał ku niejednej refleksji tak naprawdę, wśród których u mnie dominowała jedna: że mimo wszystko dobrze, że ludzie umierają, i powinni umierać, bo to umieranie nasze jest kwintesencją życia i miłości. Ono jest tym, co czyni życie pięknym, kruchym i ulotnym.
My husband gave this a solid 3/10, which I completely don't understand. It may not have been a masterpiece, but still, the plot was interesting. And the film prompted many reflections, among which one dominated for me: that despite everything, it's good that people die, and they should die, because our dying is the quintessence of life and love. It is what makes life beautiful, fragile, and fleeting.
Fabuła to trzy historie przeplatane ze sobą: czasy neandertalczyków, w której widzimy losy pewnej rodziny; czasy obecne, w których pani archeolog bada znalezisko (tak, dobrze się domyślacie, szczątki należały do bohatera tej pierwszej części); i czasy przyszłości, 2400+, w których ekspedycja złożona z kobiety oraz zamrożonych ludzkich embrionów leci na odległą planetę zacząć tam nowe życie, bo na Ziemi coś nie wyszło.
The plot consists of three interwoven stories: the Neanderthal era, in which we see the fate of a certain family; the present, in which an archaeologist examines a discovery (yes, you guessed it right, the remains belonged to the hero of the first part); and the future, 2400+, in which an expedition consisting of a woman and frozen human embryos flies to a distant planet to start a new life there, because something went wrong on Earth.
W całej osi czasu przeplata się duży żołądź na łańcuchu, ozdoba pierwotnej pary, odkopana przez badaczkę, przekazana dzieciom. Przeplata się też miłość i umieranie.
Interwoven throughout the timeline is a large acorn on a chain, the ornament of the original couple, unearthed by the researcher and passed down to the children. Love and dying are also interwoven.
I tak, wiem, była Odyseja Kosmiczna, ale wciąż widziałam tu nutkę świeżości i czegoś ciekawego. Tak więc w mojej ocenie to przynajmniej 6/10 i absolutnie nie żałuję tego wczorajszego wyboru.
And yes, I know, there was a Space Odyssey, but I still saw something fresh and interesting here. So, in my opinion, it's at least a 6/10, and I absolutely don't regret yesterday's choice.
