[PL / ENG] Rycerz siedmiu królestw / A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [2026]
Serial „Rycerz Siedmiu Królestw” to powrót do przeszłości – ponowne odwiedziny w uniwersum „Gry o Tron”, którym swego czasu bardzo się ekscytowałam. Warto jednak zaznaczyć: serialem zachwyciłam się dopiero po lekturze wybitnych, pierwszych części sagi „Pieśń Lodu i Ognia”. Teraz, po latach, gdy George R.R. Martin nie dopisał do głównego cyklu nic nowego, a poprzedni serial zakończył się według własnego uznania, powrót do tego świata w nowej produkcji to trochę jak serwowanie „odgrzewanego kotleta”.
The series "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" feels like a blast from the past—a return to the "Game of Thrones" universe that I was once so hyped about. But let’s be clear: I only got into the show after reading the brilliant early installments of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga. Now, years later, with Martin adding nothing new to the core series and the original show having concluded on its own terms, returning to this world in a new spin-off feels a bit like rehashing old ground.
A jednocześnie: całkiem nieźle mi się to oglądało! Momentami byłam żywo zainteresowana losem głównego bohatera, chwilami tylko umiarkowanie, ale przez cały czas serial punktował tym charakterystycznym, niepodrabialnym klimatem. I dla tego klimatu właśnie warto go obejrzeć. Czy drugi sezon też będzie warto? Tego nie wiem. Po doświadczeniach z wyśmienitym „Yellowstone” darzę nowe seriale raczej umiarkowanym zaufaniem.
At the same time, I actually quite enjoyed watching it! There were moments when I was genuinely invested in the protagonist's fate, and others where my interest was only moderate, but throughout it all, the show consistently delivered that signature, unmistakable atmosphere. It’s that very atmosphere that makes it worth a watch. Will the second season be worth it too? I honestly don’t know. After my experience with the excellent "Yellowstone," I tend to approach new series with a fair amount of skepticism.
