Hometown Cha- Cha- Cha (A K-Drama Series)

Watching movies and TV series on Netflix is one of my favorite leisure activities at home. This is my thing or activity almost every night after dinner and after doing the chores. This is also the time for resting my eyes from my phone and my reading glasses. It's more relaxing to watch something on a bigger screen, especially if you have an eye problem.

As I had mentioned in my previous post, I am into anime especially Studio Ghibli movies, Korean Drama series, English movies and TV series and some of Chinese and Japanese TV series, too.

Today, I'm going to share my review on one of my favorite K-Drama series, which is entitled, "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.

It follows the story of a city dentist, Hye-Jin (portrayed by Shin Min Ah) and a free-spirited handyman/jack of all trades, "Chief Hong Dushik " (portrayed by Kim Seon Ho), whose lives intertwine in a small but amazing town in Gongjin.

Both the protagonist carries common things in life, like their own fears; the fear of being left behind, the fear of betrayal , among others. They both seek peace and the healing process. And as time went by, they were drawn to each other.

To be honest, I really love them both (the actors in this series), as I have watched some of their individual shows already, and they are both wonderful. I’ve watched series like Oh my Venus, Our Blues, etc. starring Shin Min Ah.

As for Kim Seon Ho, I’ve watched his Strongest Delivery Man, Start Up, and a lot more. That's why I never hesitated to watch this show, most especially that the two of them are the main lead actors. And I am not mistaken, because I really love the story and the chemistry of the lead stars. It warms and can totally capture your heart. They are oozing with charisma every time they have an interaction.
It is really heartwarming, fluttering, yet mesmerizing. I love the process of healing that this series has to offer.

And aside from the lead actors, I also love that this series did not only focus on the main character’s life, but also the life of the entire village. It’s a warm and beautiful portrayal of individual stories, especially the people in Gongjin, like the painful loss of loved ones, the bitterness of divorce, and its influence or effects on their children, the loneliness of the elders who were left behind by their families and so on.

The story can really capture your heart. It’s not that heavy of a drama but honestly meaningful. You can laugh with them and you can also cry from your heart. The story is relatable and realistic. And that's what I love about it.

This show is precisely the kind that can warms your heart, can make you feel good, relaxed and entertained.

So, if you want a relaxing, heartwarming and enjoyable series to watch, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is the best answer. It's really worth watching. I hope you'll give it a try.
