Playstation-2 erfolgreich repariert (Ger/Eng)

Hallo liebe Hivians!

Das Pfingstwochenende zeigt sich in diesem Jahr von seiner schlechten Seite. Zumindest, was das Wetter betrifft. Für gestern war eigentlich eine kleine Wanderung vorgesehen, doch aufgrund des schlechten Wetters haben wir diese auf heute verschoben. Da das Wetter heute jedoch noch schlechter war, haben wir sie erneut verschoben.

Somit blieb mir heute Zeit, etwas zu erledigen, das seit Wochen hier herumlag. Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich auf dem Dachboden die alte Playstation 2 wiedergefunden. Allerdings funktionierte der Laser nicht mehr richtig und erkannte keine DVDs mehr.

Also habe ich mir im Internet für ein paar Euro einen neuen Laser bestellt und mit Hilfe eines Youtube-Video mit dem Austausch begonnen.

Zuerst musste ich die Playstation2 öffnen was relativ finfach war. Lediglich ein paar Schrauben mussten gelöst werden und schon ließ sich das Gehäuse öffnen.

Auch der alte, defekte Laser ließ sich recht unproblematisch ausbauen. Hierzu mussten lediglich zwei Schrauben gelöst werden. Eine der beiden Schrauben hat zwar etwas Widerstand geleistet, aber am Ende habe ich sie doch noch losbekommen. Anschließend musste noch das Flachkabel gelöst werden. Das war im Video sehr gut erklärt und ging ebenfalls sehr schnell.

Jetzt ging es wieder in umgekehrter Reihenfolge mit dem Einbau des neuen Lasers weiter.

Nachdem ich die Playstation zusammengesetzt hatte, habe ich sie an den Fernseher angeschlossen und ausprobiert. Zunächst hörte es sich nicht sehr gesund an, da der Laser gehakt hat. Nachdem dieser aber die richtige Position gefunden hatte, erkannte er auch die Playstation-2-Spiele wieder. Leider habe ich derzeit nur zwei Stück im Haus und muss demnächst ein paar weitere besorgen. Eine kleine Runde „Buzz” konnten wir jedoch schon spielen.

Fazit

Erfolgreich repariert und ein Gerät vor dem Müll gerettet.

The Whitsun weekend is showing its bad side this year. At least as far as the weather is concerned. A short hike was actually planned for yesterday, but due to the bad weather we postponed it until today. However, as the weather was even worse today, we postponed it again.

This left me time today to do something that had been lying around for weeks. A few weeks ago, I found the old Playstation 2 in the attic. However, the laser wasn't working properly and no longer recognized DVDs.

So I ordered a new laser on the Internet for a few euros and started replacing it with the help of a YouTube video.

First I had to open the Playstation2, which was relatively easy. Just a few screws had to be loosened and the housing could be opened.

The old, defective laser could also be removed quite easily. Only two screws had to be loosened. One of the two screws did put up some resistance, but I managed to get it loose in the end. The flat cable then had to be removed. This was explained very well in the video and also went very quickly.

Now we continued in reverse order with the installation of the new laser.

After putting the Playstation together, I connected it to the TV and tried it out. At first it didn't sound very good as the laser was stuck. But once it had found the right position, it recognized the Playstation 2 games again. Unfortunately, I only have two in the house at the moment and will have to get a few more soon. However, we have already been able to play a small round of “Buzz”.
