Was sagt ihr dazu?

The Word app on Android has not been functioning properly for some time and has now become completely unusable for me.
Word constantly forgets the list of recently opened and pinned files (Recent) and displays the following error message: “One or more accounts require you to sign back in,” even though I have logged in with my Microsoft account several times.
Before that, synchronizing edited documents with OneDrive was already working poorly.
Even resetting and reinstalling the app does not solve the problem.
Apparently, Microsoft is no longer maintaining its Word app properly and wants users to switch to the new “M365 Copilot” app instead. Users also report similar problems in the Word desktop app by the way.
Incidentally, the “Copilot M365” app for Android is the former Office app; only the name has been changed to Copilot and a Copilot chat function has been added. The new name is now somewhat confusing.
However, synchronization works again in the Copilot app, even in the free version. If you don't have an M365 subscription, however, advertising banners are displayed in the app. This was not the case in the Word app though.
What do you think? Are you experiencing similar issues with the Word app? Why is Microsoft renaming all its office products to Copilot? Has Microsoft been focusing too much on AI lately and neglected other apps?
I am also seeing a lot of Copilot on my Microsoft Apps
I think Microsoft is investing heavily on their AI product

Just a bug maybe ?
Yeah a bug, that has not been fixed for months.
I mean, is it only on your side or by other users too ?

If they are focusing more on AI, there isn't much wrong with that in my opinion, since AI is the future. But they should still pay attention to other products and services they provide to users because AI hasn't taken over completely yet. I think the issue with Word on Android would be resolved soon.
I see it as a forced upgrade, they want users to switch to their new products embedded with AI. I've also read recently that they will stop supporting Windows 10 and users should upgrade to the newer version.
Microsoft might have run out of fresh ideas, and apparently are resorting to recycling.
I don't have a lot of experience with microsoft apps for android. The only one I regularly use is OneDrive.
Also no problems with the desktop versions so far.
I do think that many companies are trying to push their AIs a little too hard. I do understand that AI can be very useful in many cases, but just putting an AI in absolutely every application with no option to turn it off can be quite annoying imo.
Microsoft doesn't even recognize my legally purchased copy of Microsoft Office and Home's product key. Am I supposed to buy the subscription of MS Office (Copilot)? I think it plain corporate greed having users buy into the product again. I am currently trial using open sourced Libre Office. And so far, it is working pretty good with my original Word and Excel documents.
Oh really, there should be a hotline to resolve any licensing issues. I need Word and OneDrive to synchronize my notes across my devices, haven't found yet a good alternative for synchronization, OneDrive is best in this regard as long as it works.
Maybe they show us the way whether we want to go or not.
Well I never update so I don't have any issue lol

Microsoft is really pushing everyone toward Copilot now. Maybe they'll make that the actual company itself since AI is the biggest deal right now. I'm sad though when i see th classic old apps are get neglected, but I guess they want all the AI features in one place.
I haven't used it in sometime now, it was glitchy and so I just stopped trying to use it!

I always use open source.
If things are not upgraded, people will stop using them. We may see this happening in the future because those who are using technology will go to where they get good results.
I think that has been the case for a while. They have been trying to move people to copilot or teams as they even decided to stop Skype.
