Imagine to control a drone with just the movements of your wrist, without gimbals/sticks, like this cool lightsaber drone.
FPV drones are extremely difficult to control with the traditional stick/gimbal controller without software/computer support.
This is mainly due to the control concept, which in my opinion is not ideal, even outdated for drones, the traditional controller dates back to the era of remote-controlled helicopters and has not been further developed since then (in FPV drones).
New innovative approaches to smart drones are attempting to make control much more intuitive and are moving more towards VR/Wii-style controllers.
I think that with an optimized control concept and a little more computer/sensors support, flying drones would be much easier and would no longer require months of training for gamers with controller/VR experience. Any gamer should be able to fly an FPV drone after a short crash course. Why not also with a mouse and keyboard? Gaming mice would have the precision and speed required to control a drone.
A new control concept would also have military advantages. Firstly, training could be greatly reduced and it would be easier to find drone pilots. Every gamer would essentially be a potential drone pilot. Secondly, more intuitive, faster controls would also have tactical advantages.
How do you like the light saber drone?
I think its a nice idea, and I think it would make it much easier to get into the space.
I think that making drone control more intuitive and integrated with a gaming experience could create new technological perspectives. If created in such a way, it could revolutionize not only the general user but also military and research work. What do you think about this?
This is so cool to see and futuristic, technology improving over time

Cool evolution, the barrier of entry to operate a drone would be much lower and I wonder how it's use case will be in the cinematography domain, taking drone shots of remote places with better navigation mechanisms.
Drones are getting cooler and cooler beyond my imagination.

Come get MOONed!
This would be great and the pigeons in my city would appreciate it.
Futur wars will be crazy
It looks very nice and futuristic, perfect gift for the christmas season
This is insanely cool, it's way more intuitive than traditional controllers. Someone could learn to fly this faster than with the controller sticks. Looking to see the games they'll create with it
Wow, this idea sounds really cool. Using just wrist movements to control drones feels so much more natural than the old stick controls. I can see how it would make flying easier, even for beginners or gamers. If this tech improves, it could really change how drones are used in everyday life and even in more serious fields.
The light saber drone looks really cool and awesome to play with
