Was für ein Match gestern im Atlanta Stadium im Bundesstaat Georgia. Habe es beim Public Viewing verfolgt und nach der ersten Hälfte ging England mit Gordon in Führung und es sah dann lange Zeit so aus, als würde England gewinnen. Aber die Argentinier haben nicht nachgelassen, sind aggressiver geworden und haben es in den letzten Minuten geschafft das Spiel zu drehen und Martinez gelang es noch ein zweites Tor in der Nachspielzeit zu schießen.
Nach dem Spiel kam es dann noch zu einem politischen Eklat gegen England in Bezug auf die Falklandinseln in der Nähe von Argentinien, die immer noch britisch sind, offiziell zu UK gehören, aber Argentinien für sich beansprucht. Argentinische Spieler hielten ein politisches Transparent hoch, in dem sie Anspruch auf die Falklandinseln erheben.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Habe den Konflikt über die Falklandinseln davor noch nicht am Radar gehabt. Was sagt ihr zum Match? Wer denkt ihr, wird die WM gewinnen, Spanien oder Argentinien?

What a match yesterday at Atlanta Stadium in Georgia. I watched it at a public viewing event, and after the first half, England took the lead thanks to Gordon, and for a long time it looked like England was going to win. But the Argentines didn’t let up, they became more aggressive and managed to turn the game around in the final minutes, with Martinez scoring a second goal in stoppage time.
After the game, there was a political incident involving England regarding the Falkland Islands, which are located near Argentina, are still British, officially belong to the UK, but are claimed by Argentina. Argentine players held up a political banner asserting their claim to the Falkland Islands.

Ein Hammer Spiel gewesen. Es sind jetzt mit Spanien und Argentinien die beiden überzeugendsten Mannschaften des Turniers im Finale. Ich freu mich drauf!

STOPMatches between Spain and Argentina are not just sporting events but cultural showcases, often tied to national pride. As for “who will win,” I can’t predict outcomes. Haha! Just kidding! I guess early coverage usually will be like “Spain is leading at halftime” or “Argentina will be the winner" in the end because they're the reigning champions with Lionel Messi’s legacy and a strong supporting cast.
