Yeah, they had satellite internet before on planes but more expensive and much slower than Starlink.

For decades I spent long flights between Canada and Austria, and also other international destinations, watching mostly provided movies. There were times when I thought the best service in this regard was with Niki: you could get the pilots view on screen, which was particularly interesting on take-off and landing. On a 12 hour flight, maybe a 2 hour movie, then hopefully peace and quiet after a meal, and try to sleep.
This has of course nothing to do with your post, but for that I say, I'd sooner have more legroom and comfortable seats so I can sleep. Then I don't really need a annoying seat neighbor surfing the internet. One of the 'perks' of flying has been to go 'unplugged' for a while.

The availability of internet is certainly a thing passengers will appreciate. I think, with time, we have become more and more addicted to the CONNECTION. A few minutes without a connection feel like a void

Vernünftig Internet zu haben bei Glügen die halben Tag gehen finde ich schon wichtig.
Nach Thailand hatten wir das kostenlos drin, also "Highspeed", nach Mexico war nur WhatsApp drin. Da war ich zu geizig 20 € oder mehr sogar auszugeben.
Habe dann einfach das geguckt was im Angebot war und eh zum Teil geschlafen.
