Good on you for having a go at this cake... and you did a great job too! I cannot believe you mixed that all by hand - that's tiring hahaha... Although tbf when I have made cakes, I have sometimes mixed by hand and sometimes with an electric hand mixer. I don't bake much so have never seen the need to invest in an expensive food mixer. I do have a relatively cheap one that I use sometimes though.
From the comments it sounds like you have enough local Hivers who will be beating down your door for a slice hehe

It sure is tiring cos I can still feel the pain, hehe. But the smiles of the people I gave it to was worth it. Though I decided to eat it alone because I love cake not because I don't give food, I love sharing food with colleagues but you see cake... Hmmm.
But I had to share this and their response was more than expected. I was just smiling like a new born fool. Haha.
Sadly, the cake is finished. Can you believe that? This is not me being dramatic, but how dare it!
