The fine line between persistence and stubbornness

Persistence means not giving up when things are hard, even when you don't get results you shouldn't give up. It's being open to learning and trying new and different views about things. While stubbornness is refusing to change, refusing to adapt. A stubborn person wants to always be right even when it affects them and others.

There are different times I wanted to give up especially when I wasn't getting the results I hoped for. For example, when I started frying and selling snacks. It wasn't easy because I was barely making profit, but I kept trying and talking to people into the same business and they gave me ideas and gradually it became better. That's why I tell myself and tell my kids both at hone and in school, as long as you keep trying, you're not a failure. When you try this method it doesn't work, try another.

What's the difference between persistence and stubbornness?
Persistence is trying again and again and being open to learning and change and improving. While stubbornness is when someone refuses to change even when they see their way is not working.

When should we stop trying?
I believe in persistence but we also need wisdom. Sometimes we know something is not for us but we keep pushing and pushing and eventually hurt ourselves. Sometimes we should ask ourselves, is this the right thing for me to do?

When we know when to stop trying, it doesn't mean we have failed, it means we are strong enough to change direction. In every area, balance is key. Be persistent, but also be smart. Listen to advice. Take breaks if needed. And most importantly, trust God to lead you in the right path.

That's a really great point. We really need to be strong to stop, even if we really failed or if we lost, accepting that takes a lot of courage.

It truly does and we have to be willing to accept it.
