I doubt if there's anyone who doesn't like surprises or being surprised, especially the kind that gets you excited and warms your heart. I definitely do appreciate a great surprise, you know, something unexpected that has a positive impact, like a thoughtful gift, a visit by a friend I hadn't seen for long or an amazing experience!

I think the best surprises are those that bring joy and positivity, and any surprise that might hurt my feelings or emotions is a no-no!

My Valentine's story is a perfect example - I made a Facebook post, and joked about wishing for a money bouquet, and guess what? An old friend surprised me with a monetary gift; it was the perfect surprise. I was really stoked! Also, on my birthday last year, a former colleague equally surprised me with a monetary gift too.

Coming home to Hive, a few months after joining, I received a huge reward for one of my posts. It was totally unexpected, in fact, a surprise of the century. Lol.

As for surprising others, I love it just as much as I love receiving surprises! The fun, the look on their faces - a mixture of shock and pure joy, plus the warm smiles, are always priceless.

Last Christmas, I surprised my sister and her family with an unannounced visit to their hometown. It's a habit. Lol. I brought gifts, including these beautiful palm slippers for my nephew. They were totally surprised - and happy!

So, you see, I'm a hooker for surprises, whether it's being surprised or surprising someone, because I believe it's a great way to show care and appreciation, as long as it's done thoughtfully and with good intentions.
