PREJUDICE / PRECONCEITO (EN/PT)

Prejudice is something exposed when faced with an opinion, concept, or exclusion. Prejudiced individuals avoid direct contact with certain people in society as a way to minimize their discriminatory attitudes and maintain the appearance of social interaction.

There are so many forms of prejudice in society that it makes you stop and reflect: am I prejudiced? Most will say no, but there's always something in our subconscious that ends up destroying this argument. The world has already gone through an era of slavery. Many expressions were created during this period and still exist today. It's a way of mistreating and remembering the suffering of the past with words.

I tend to be open to new things in the world. I can live peacefully with anyone. I don't see myself as prejudiced, but when I stop and analyze, there are situations where I end up, even unconsciously, being prejudiced.

For example, when I talk about early childhood education, I think it's okay for students to have female teachers, but when it's a male teacher, I find it a bit strange. Honestly, it's a form of prejudice, but I'll explain my point. Caring for young children requires a maternal side; in some cases, the teacher is required to bathe the students. Society treats women as normal, but what about male teachers? There will always be doubt. Regardless of whether the person has a good nature or not, there will always be discomfort on the part of parents and society. I can say that it's a well-founded prejudice.

Most of the situations I imagine in my mind related to prejudice involve men, women, and their respective jobs. Just as there are positions that are common to both, there are situations that require the presence of a man or a woman. I know that society promotes the idea of ​​equal rights, but like it or not, men are physically more brutal than women. I believe that the most demanding and complex situations should be their responsibility.

I don't know if my thinking is correct or not, but I will never openly expose it; it's not something that affects me or will affect humanity. In my mind, it would be a reorganization of some of the world's work. I know it would be heavily criticized, but what isn't?

Preconceito é algo que se expõe diante de uma opinião, conceito ou exclusão. Indivíduos preconceituosos evitam o contato direto com certas pessoas na sociedade como forma de minimizar suas atitudes discriminatórias e manter a aparência de interação social.

Existem tantas formas de preconceito na sociedade que nos fazem parar e refletir: eu sou preconceituoso? A maioria dirá que não, mas sempre há algo em nosso subconsciente que acaba destruindo esse argumento. O mundo já passou por uma era de escravidão. Muitas expressões foram criadas durante esse período e ainda existem hoje. É uma forma de maltratar e relembrar o sofrimento do passado com palavras.

Tenho tendência a ser aberto a coisas novas no mundo. Consigo conviver em paz com qualquer pessoa. Não me vejo como preconceituoso, mas quando paro e analiso, há situações em que acabo, mesmo inconscientemente, sendo preconceituoso.

Por exemplo, quando falo sobre educação infantil, acho aceitável que os alunos tenham professoras, mas quando se trata de um professor, acho um pouco estranho. Sinceramente, é uma forma de preconceito, mas vou explicar meu ponto. Cuidar de crianças pequenas exige um lado maternal; em alguns casos, a professora é obrigada a dar banho nos alunos. A sociedade trata as mulheres como normais, mas e os professores homens? Sempre haverá dúvidas. Independentemente de a pessoa ter boa índole ou não, sempre haverá desconforto por parte dos pais e da sociedade. Posso dizer que é um preconceito bem fundamentado.

A maioria das situações que imagino relacionadas ao preconceito envolve homens, mulheres e seus respectivos empregos. Assim como há cargos que são comuns a ambos, há situações que exigem a presença de um homem ou de uma mulher. Sei que a sociedade promove a ideia de direitos iguais, mas, gostem ou não, os homens são fisicamente mais brutais do que as mulheres. Acredito que as situações mais exigentes e complexas devem ser responsabilidade deles.

Não sei se meu pensamento está correto ou não, mas jamais o exporei abertamente; não é algo que me afeta ou afetará a humanidade. Na minha opinião, seria uma reorganização de parte do trabalho do mundo. Sei que seria duramente criticado, mas o que não é?
