Some years ago, I would have sworn that I'd become fulfilled before this age. I saw life in a mirage, shining from afar but the closer I got, the better I understood that what I've seen was only an illusion. I thank God for the few things I've been able to achieve so far, but life seems harder now than it was before, with a lot of dreams and just a few achievements.

After graduation, I had my life all planned out, dreamt of a beautiful future with kids and home, and probably a good vacation. But while I planned, life had its own plans for me, somewhat like a tunnel that everyone must go through to either grow or fall, for me, it was both. Life happened to me one after another until all I boasted of vanished like a vapor, all that was left was a steam, less of what to boast of.

Two choices were left for me, to accept defeat and stay down as a failure or keep striving through the pain and turmoil, just maybe there'll be a light at the end of the tunnel-I chose the latter. It isn't about accepting what life gives to us, it's about the vision that is yet to be fulfilled. When the oceans of life roar, what keeps us sailing is the shore we aim to reach. I know falling and staying down is not a choice, so I accept the moment, learn from every fall, and take steps from them until I get to the top.

“Now” isn't where I want to be, not even an image of what I've dreamt about, but as long as there's life , my hope still remains. Miracle happens in a day but it takes a moment of deliberate hard work and endurance. Do I feel like giving up , accepting defeat to life's vicissitudes? Yes, but as long as I have a dream, it keeps me on my toes to try again and again one more time.
