An Eco-Friendly Environment Is A Healthy World

Eco-friendly

Hello #qccommunity, happy new week. I welcome you to my blog. I wish you a productive week.

Eco-friendly means keeping our society free from all forms of pollution. This pollution comes from carbon released by diesel and fuel generators, or heavy-duty machines used for production in companies, or the release of black oil into canals, lakes, or streams. Eco-friendly also means keeping the environment free from foil and nylon littering, or rubber cans, which in turn block canals and cause flooding when it rains.

I work in a greyboard manufacturing company, and we advocate for an eco-friendly environment. A society that is free from pollution and littering of the environment with hazardous waste. We recycle all kinds of waste papers which are used to produce greyboard, a raw material used to make arch lever files, Hardcover books, Calendar rims, puzzle boards, and rigid boxes.

The government of my state of origin is doing a lot to make the environment eco-friendly. They started by placing big baskets at strategic points where individuals can throw in their used rubber cans and everything nylon. When they are filled, they are supplied to the companies that use them. This keeps the environment clean.

Recently, the use of foils by restaurants as take-away plates was banned in the state. This is because individuals were defacing and carelessly discarding those foils. They used them to cause blockages in the drainage system, hence blocking waterways.

Again, there are existing environmental laws championed by Health and Safety organisations that companies subscribe to guide their eco-friendliness adaptation and compliance. Sometimes, they seal errant companies as a deterrent to others who may want to go against the policies.

However, to make it holistic, all hands must be on deck. Citizens need enlightenment through television gimmicks, road adverts, and physical engagement to avoid indiscriminate littering in society. Road users also need more enlightenment on the use of vehicles that emit black smoke.

Furthermore, there are issues with gas flaring, which causes soot in areas where refineries and bigger companies are located. Some of those communities don’t have drinking water and cannot farm because of the level of gas flaring and oil spillage on their land.

While some non-profit organisations are working tirelessly to assist such communities in alleviating pain caused by these spills and flaring, endangering their well-being, I think that individuals also need enlightenment on how they can support the objective of achieving an eco-friendly society where people can stay safe and thriving.

By doing so, private organisations, politicians, and capable individuals will be moved to join hands with the government and the non-profit organisations to make the environment eco-friendly. An environment where people can thrive safely.
