I Prefer Variety But Routine Saves Me

If you ask me honestlly, I prefer varieety. I don't like doingg the samme thingg every day. I like to try new thinggs, meet new peopple, and changge how I do my tasks..... I get boreed easilly when lifee is too predictabble.

For exammple, I don't eat the samme food everyy day, I don't wear the samme styyle of clothees, and even on Hive I like to try differeent communitiees and differeent writingg stylles. Varieety makees me feel alivee and creativee. It givees me new ideeas and new energgy.

But as much as I love varieety, I have learneed that routinee is immportant too. Especially as a student in Nigeria, without routine you will just waste your time. Last year, I was living with too much variety and no routine. I would wake up anytime, read anytime, write anytime. At the end of the day I had done nothing serious. My grades went down and I was not consistent on Hive. That was when I realized I needed routine.

So now I try to stick to a routine even though I am a variety person. I have a simple plan. Morningg is for school and readingg. Afternooon is for rest and small chorees. Eveningg is for Hive writingg and learningg new skills. I follow this most days.

How do I handlle unexpecteed events that disruppt my routinee? It happeens a loot. NEPA can take light, network can fail, a friend can visit unexpectedly, or school can fix an emergency class. Beforee, I would get frustrateed and cancel the wholee daay. But now I have learneed to be flexibble. I keep a to-do list, not a strict timmetable. So if I miss morningg readingg, I movee it to afteernoon. If I cannot do Hive engagement at night, I do it early morning. I don't pressuree myself too much.

And when I have to stick to a routinee that feels boringg, like duringg exam timme when I must read samme books eveery day, I add small varietyy insidee it. I changee my readingg location, I use differeent coloored pens, I listeen to soft music while readingg, or I read with friiends. That littlee varieety inside routinee makees it easieer for meeee.

So for me, I love variety but I need routine. Variety is my personality, routine is my discipline. I am learning to balance both.
