I'm officially part of the problem... After all the posturing and high horse talking on my main account about how Black Friday and Cyber Monday are horrible consumerism plots, I fell victim myself.
The sad thing is, I know better! It's not like I needed new/more disc golf discs, but with prices being discounted 20 to 30 percent, I just couldn't help myself. While you can get disc golf discs on Ebay and Amazon, 1010 Discs has become my go to place for shopping online for discs.
This is the third batch of discs I have ordered from them and it is always a bit exciting when they show up at my door. There is actually a local shop that I would love to visit more, but they have such weird hours it isn't really conducive to me shopping there. Trust me, I would rather keep my money local if possible.

As I said, it's exciting when that box shows up at my doorstep. Pretty much the first thing I did when I got it inside was take this photo, bust it open, and start looking over my new discs.

I've been wanting to get another putter for a while now. I currently only have two and it's always a good idea to have a few extra laying around. Just in case you want to do some putting practice or you happen to lose one. I picked up this Maiden to see if it can be a good replacement or complement to my Innova Aviar.

All the discs I bought in this batch were from a company called Westside Discs. I have one of their drivers and it seemed to be a pretty good disc. Plus they had some of the best Cyber Monday discounts on their stuff. I picked up the Longbowman above and the Northman below to see if they could be decent drivers for me. I have to watch the speed very closely because anything over 11 or so is too fast for my aging arm!

I typically buy drivers with a bit more turn, but I wanted to see how these ones fly for me. They were only about $12 USD a piece, so it wasn't a huge deal.

Finally, I grabbed the Seer and Sling for my midrange game. Honestly, the Seer could end up being a decent driver for me on shorter holes, but we will see. I'm really looking forward to getting out on the course and trying these out. I decided to go with pink for a lot of my discs lately because it makes them a bit easier to find when everything is green or brown.
I also tried to keep the weight of the discs right around 170g or so. That seems to be a good weight for me, not too heavy that they can still fly far, but light enough that they don't get crazy out of control on me.
Do you play disc golf? What's your favorite brand or do you just throw whatever?

I just picked up 2 new discs yesterday.. A R-Pro Pig from INNOVA and a FUSE from Lattitude 64.. plus a mini
Awesome. I have never heard of the Pig, but I have heard of the FUSE. I've been throwing the HEAT and Sidewinder a lot lately, but I wanted to try and branch out. This Westside Discs seems like a decent company. There are so many of them out there now. A far cry from when it was just Innova and Disccraft!
The Pig was Ricky Wisocki's go to for approach shots.. before he went to Dynamic Disc.. I drive with a DD Raider.
