Today is yet another day for farm work. I have made a quick stop by at the guinea corn farm to check on it.
The last time I was here I broke a part of the seeds and noticed that it was blackened in color.
That gave me a bit of concern as to whether this was producing well or not .
And in another thought I have felt that maybe it was the red guinea corn that was planted and that was a stage of it's growth.
Low and behold you can see how well developed the guinea corn plants are today. Everything has grown and produced white seeds within
It took me a bit of a walk within the farm to find these head of guinea corn that are bent over so that I can get a clear picture .
The plants have grow up to 4X my height and up to about 200inches in height
I can say that among all the crops we have planted this year the guinea corn and rice have produced the most. Yams didn't yield any tangible results and because of thieves we didn't plant as much of that.
Stealing of rice isn't a common thing because it will be difficult for any to enter into someones farm to reap and thresh rice without been noticed.
I have just gathered the news that some rice have been stolen and the thieve stayed back to thresh rice at night.
This is the level of hunger in the land right now.
Nevertheless before anything gets stolen here we would have harvested a good portion of our farm products.
Our work on the farm is gradually coming to an end and these guinea corn will be ready for harvest right after we are done harvesting rice.
It's good to see some progress and massive guinea corn production here.
