Apparently I built an entire Hive toolkit…
Apparently, Botlord has been rather busy
I have just published a post from my @botlord account bringing together all the Hive tools I have been building, improving and occasionally swearing at over the past months.

I am not going to repeat the entire list here, because copying the same post from one account to another would be a rather questionable demonstration of my newly improved replying tools.
Still, looking at everything together made me realise something: what started as a few separate solutions has quietly turned into a reasonably complete Hive toolkit.
There is now a tool for working through replies and tipping people without losing track of the conversation. Another one shows what the different tipping bots do and whether your account qualifies for their tiers. MMB connects that entire bot ecosystem, Account Card gives you a quick overview of any Hive account, HiveEarnings tries to calculate what you are actually earning, and the Governance Hub helps you review witness votes without requiring a degree in missed-block archaeology.
There are also tools for delegations, bulk token transfers and onboarding new users, because apparently I am incapable of encountering friction on Hive without eventually creating another subdomain for it.
This was never one large, carefully planned master project. Most of these tools started in exactly the same way: I was doing something repeatedly, found the existing process unnecessarily complicated, and thought, surely this could be easier.
That sentence has cost me a remarkable number of evenings.
But it is also how I like building things.
I use Hive every day, so I encounter the same small frustrations as everybody else. Sometimes the solution is a tiny adjustment to an existing bot. Sometimes it becomes a new website, a database, three background services and another thing sending me notifications when it falls over during the night.
You know… progress.
What matters to me is that these tools remain useful and accessible. They are free to use, require no separate account, and actions are signed through Hive Keychain. Nobody should ever hand an active key to a random website, including one carrying a suspiciously familiar Botlord logo.
There is also a broader reason behind all this.
Hive is powerful, but we are not always particularly good at making that power approachable. We have tipping bots, communities, tokens, delegations, proposals, witnesses and governance, but much of it assumes that newcomers already know the language, understand the interfaces and have somebody nearby who can explain why they suddenly received seventeen different tokens worth a combined twelve cents.
That complexity may feel normal to those of us who have been here since ages. It is not normal to somebody arriving today.
If Hive is going to grow, we do not only need more features. We need better doors into the features we already have.
That is what I am trying to build with @botlord: not a replacement for Hive and certainly not another closed ecosystem inside it, but a collection of practical doors that make existing parts of Hive easier to discover and use.
Have a look at the full Botlord post, try whichever tools look useful, and please tell me where they confuse you, annoy you or simply refuse to behave. Compliments are nice, obviously, but someone telling me “this button makes absolutely no sense” is often considerably more useful.
