A glimpse of the experience and solution of technical problems in ATM service.

Today was quite an eventful and challenging day in terms of work. We had been experiencing mechanical problems in one of our ATM booths for quite some time. Today, when I went to inspect the booth and observed the entire issue in depth, the main problem was revealed to me. Basically, the UPS of the ATM machine was not able to provide proper power backup. Due to this power fluctuation, various types of technical errors were repeatedly occurring in the machine.

The biggest problem that was occurring was that the dispenser unit was repeatedly giving up its authentication due to the problem of the UPS. Today, I took the initiative to complete the authentication of the dispenser unit and activated the machine by running a successful test transaction.

However, it did not seem reasonable to temporarily resolve the issue like every day. So, I immediately contacted the UPS engineer and insisted on a quick solution. Responding to my call, the engineer arrived at the booth at the earliest. After testing, it was found that the UPS battery backup was completely destroyed.

Later, the power problem was permanently resolved by installing a new battery in the UPS. Alhamdulillah, now the ATM machine is fully live. Hopefully, from now on, customers will be able to make transactions without any further mechanical disruptions.
