Robotic Friends: Fascinating or Frightening?

Friends are amazing and awesome at the same time; they're a blessing to anyone who's lucky enough to find a good one, and that's because friends play lots of vital roles in our lives, from being by our side to encouraging us, sharing in every moment of our lives, be they happy or sad moments, advising, and keeping our company. Without friends, life would feel somewhat boring and lonely, and that's why everyone deserves to have friends. But in the event that our friends are busy and can't be outside, is it okay to have robotics friends, despite knowing that they lack feelings and emotions? Below I'll state my take on these.

Personally, I actually find it fascinating to have a robotic friend because even though such a robot might lack emotion, it's obvious it'll have a high level of programming that'll help it understand human ways and methodology; it might even have room for improvement and learning so it could get accustomed to what I like, my language, and the like. Having these capabilities will give it some good traits that'll kind of make me want to have something like that, and even though I know it mostly obeys commands, it still sounds great, but I'd definitely be concerned about the dangers of it misunderstanding my command and what could most likely go wrong when such happens.

With that understanding, will I want to have such a type of friend? To be honest, I actually don't have anything against it, and won't be frightened if I have it as a friend; it'll just be there as something to keep me company when I kind of feel like talking to someone. But if I have it, it's just because it's fascinating, not because I do much desire to have a friend to talk with, and that's because my nature as an introvert doesn't really enjoy being in too much conversation. Even when I'm lonely at home, I'd prefer to take a stroll to see what's happening around me to get entertained or go online to read news or happenings across the world.

So in a nutshell, either way works for me, but I'd be more fine with normal human friends that I can reach when I need them and not spend exorbitantly on a robotic friend that I'd rarely talk to because I hardly enjoy talking for long.
