Ghosts, Fear, and the Human Need for Answers

Through the years I've watched lots of horror movies that scare the shit out of me, and some of their storylines are filled with ghost stories, haunted houses, and the like, which makes me wonder if such things are real and what I'll do if I find myself in that situation. Talking about ghosts, we all know they are not loving beings. We believe anyone who dies becomes a ghost; that's when their spirit comes out of their body and wanders around or goes somewhere. What we're skeptical about is if they have the ability to interfere with real things to the point where it scares living humans. So in this article I'll be stating my take on if I believe in ghosts and what I'd do if I found myself in a haunted house.

Do I believe ghosts exist? Yes, I do. I absolutely believe that ghosts exist. Like I said earlier, ghosts are the spirits of dead people. So I definitely believe in its existence. What I don't think exists is ghosts having the ability to interfere with real life. Because when you are dead, you're not supposed to be able to touch the slightest things. I know you might argue, "How do I know if they can touch things or not?" I might not know because I've not experienced it before, but I just have that belief. So while I believe ghosts exist, I don't believe they can touch the door, not to talk of anything.

So on the other hand, what if I find myself in a haunted house and realize different things are moving by themselves without anyone controlling them? Would I believe it's a ghost doing all that or think otherwise? To start with, even though I'll be scared and super afraid, it'll be quite difficult for me to believe it's a ghost doing all that. In fact, in a time where pranks are very popular, I'd most likely think someone is playing a prank on me by pulling all those stunts to scare me rather than first think it's a ghost. I'll most likely only believe it's a ghost after every cross-check those things moving and know for a fact that no one is behind it.

While I believe ghosts exist, I don't think they've the ability to interfere with the real world; if they do at all, I think they will most likely only hunt those who wronged them while they're alive. Since I'm not the type who would do something evil to another person, I definitely won't be believing a ghost will hunt me at all. Ghosts, though, exist and ought to be in the spirit realm awaiting judgement or already judged and facing the consequences of their actions while on earth.
