Decision-making is actually very important, and it's one of the core things that determine how our lives or a situation will turn out, because when we make the right decision, we're on the path to success and happiness; however, taking the wrong decision can go the other way around, leading to disappointment, amongst many others. Through the years I've found myself on both sides of the coin, and those experiences on both sides have taught me very valuable life lessons, and today I'd be telling you all about them and other related things, so without further ado, let's get to them.

Talking about a decision I took that taught me an important life lesson, I'll say it's the one I made to take a particular path just because I felt that was what I needed during that time. And now, although it wasn't necessarily wrong, I must say that it was great, just that my approach and how I arrived at it weren't exactly excellent. But what I can say for a fact is that I get to understand that it's not every opportunity that presents itself to us that is really meant for us, and also some of the decisions we make today that seem extraordinary might not be good for our future, and that's why when it comes to decision-making, I navigate through different parts of me so I can reach the best conclusion that'll aid me in making a decision that'll not only be favourable to me now in the present but also in the future.
As I reflect, I realise that there were times I made a decision just because I listened to what people say too much, sometimes I made decisions because I was anxious to see how the situation would turn out, and other times it was me making decisions because I allowed my emotions to take over. That's the wheel. But as time goes on I've learnt my lesson, realising that life doesn't give us full details to make a perfect decision. Going forward I've come to understand that what matters most is for us to learn from the previous choices we've made and also have the courage to make amends when necessary.
As regarding the other question, which enquires about how I make decisions when faced with a difficult choice between my head, heart, and mind, it's worth noting that personally I've learnt to combine all of them; that's my mind and heart. If you're wondering how I combine them, well, first I take time to think thoroughly about it. Being a Christian, I also pray over the situation and then consider what could possibly be the outcome from different decisions I could possibly make. When I look, my heart helps me understand that it can make me impulsive and emotional, but overall it helps me understand what I really want, while following my mind helps me explore different possibilities of consequences. A combination of both has greatly enhanced my ability to make decisions with wisdom before arriving at my final decision.

Overall, I've come to the understanding via every experience I've had that there's definitely no guarantee that every decision will be great. I also learn that even though I made the wrong decision, it's not the end of the world, because those wrong decisions also serve as a great teacher to guide future decisions. When we learn from our past choices and take great lessons from them, we'll be able to grow from that experience and go on to make better decisions going forward.
