I can't remember the last time I went for a routine check up because I do not usually go for check ups. Like a lot of people, I only think of going to hospital or going for check up when I am sick. I am just getting to realise that is not the best way to take care of myself, I need to take my health more seriously, go for regular check ups and make it a prt of my life.

One think I notice is that we can spend money on clothes, hair, phones and other things but when it comes to our health, we will take it lightly and say we are fine. Or we say it's nothing it's just headache, it's nothing serious, what we do not know is that we do not need to wait till it's serious before we can go for check up.
The truth is that a person does not always know when something is wrong inside the body. Some health problems can start without causing pain or showing clear signs. Someone can look perfectly healthy, go about their daily activities, and still have a health problem that needs attention. This is why routine check-ups are important. They can help doctors notice certain problems early, before they become more serious.

I remember how easy it is to ignore small changes in the body. Sometimes we feel tired and simply blame it on work. Sometimes we have headaches and take medicine without asking what caused them. Sometimes we notice that something is not normal but tell ourselves that it will go away. Most times, we do not want to spend money at the hospital unless we really have to. I understand this because I have also thought this way. But health is one thing we should never take for granted.
We need to take regular medical check ups more seriously. This shouldn't mean living in fear or visiting the hospital everyday. It means we should pay more attention to our body and visit the hospital from time to time, even if it's once or twice a month, we do not need to fall sick before going for check up.
I believe we should stop treating our health as something we only remember when we are sick. Prevention is better than cure, it is better than waiting until a small problem becomes a big one. Our bodies deserve attention, care, and love, not only when they are failing us, but every day.
