Have you ever thought of how the world was before the scientific discovery of vaccines?
How our forefathers dealt with the outbreak of deadly and infectious diseases such as polio, smallpox,TB , measles and many more. The widespread of these diseases , the rate at which people died , the rate children died and suffered harmful effects on their body.
There was deep suffering and death between the young and old , they suffered from ailments with no treatment or preventive measure. It brought great pain to families and the society at large.
The emerging and scientific invention of vaccines, placed an end to this suffering of humanity to a large extent , giving man a better hope for perfect health. Vaccination is the most reliable way of preventing the widespread of disease and infections.
Vaccination have made conditions like polio eliminated , I have seen kids recover so fast from mealses. With the help of vaccines you can prevent deadly disease like hepatitis B and Tuberculosis.
Let assume, there is a vaccine for HIV , do you know the number of people living with this virus will reduce drastically. The rate at which people contact it will drastically reduce, instead of daily increase.
With the help of vaccination, small pox was eradicated from the surface of the earth
Vaccination have saved lives and protected human beings, vaccination support, helps and builds the immune system of the human body to develop stronger immunity and strength against deadly diseases and infections.
With the help of vaccines, disease like polio, have been eradicated, polio killed and damaged millions of people before the emergence of vaccination , polio is a deadly virus that could affect the human brain and cause paralysis and affects the backbone (spinal cord), with the help of vaccination, children are no longer affected by the deadly virus.
Vaccination has the power to protect humanity and eradicate diseases , if taken . Vaccination is very important to our children .
As a kid, I have had various experiences with vaccination. Here in Nigeria, nurses and public health practitioner visits schools and social places to examine this vaccines.
As naive kids, we only noticed the mark on the tip of our fingers, I had zero knowledge vaccine and immunizations , but my mom will always be interested and curious at the end of day when I get home.
I just knew vaccines was good, healthy and was always supported by my parents.
Fast forward to my second year at the school hostel in the university, we heard about Hepatitis B outbreak in the hostel, so I and my roommates visited the hospital for the vaccine and that was my first time being vaccinated as an adult.
It was normal, no reaction.
During COVID -19 , I also got vaccinated, I was really scared of taking the COVID -19 vaccine, because I heard alot of rumors, some said it was deadly, other said it was a way of reducing the human population.
I was looking for a way to avoid it, but it was compulsory at my job.
After some weeks, I made up my mind to go, I went with a colleague, we got vaccinated at the hospital, after some minutes, I had light headache, my friend fell sick , had serious fever for some days, it got me really scared, but she recovered after some days and resumed work. This was my second vaccination experience as an adult.
The only superstition I have heard most people, especially the uneducated say about vaccination is that vaccines aren't effective on children, but more effective on adults, because they believe a child isn't fully developed and have a premature immune system for vaccination, and it might also have some side effects.
Also, most persons believe it's deadly and lead to complex sicknesses.
They also believe, it has the tendency of causing infant death.
I highly recommend vaccination, for kids and adults, because it's very important to humanity and also gives you immunity over deadly diseases and infections , the World Health Organization has guaranteed it safety and protection to humans.

Currently, the vaccines that are given to children from birth to 15 months are very effective.Polio vaccination is being given to children up to five years of age, which is very necessary.Due to vaccination today we have been able to prevent diseases like Hepatitis B and measles.Due to the discovery of vaccines, various diseases have become weak in the world and research is still going on to discover new vaccines.Only because vaccines have been discovered, epidemic diseases have not survived in the world today.Thank you very much for sharing your comments on vaccines.
