Back then before I got married, there was this retired military man who just relocated to my hometown. He has money, not just any money; like, the man is a millionaire.

His children don't talk to us; like, if you greet them, they don't answer. They don't see us as humans; no matter how you try to be friendly with them, they don't care. At some point everyone in the community got tired of being nice and getting disrespect in return, so we all decided to stay on our own. The man later died, and the funds he left for them were misused; nobody knew how, but they are now broke. Life. These same people who weren't answering our greetings are now the ones greeting us. Another thing happened: my friend's father was a very close friend to the present governor of my state, so before he became the governor, anytime he was in town, the first place or house he went to, aside from his father's house, was my friend's house to see her father, and when he became the governor, he stopped picking up my friend's father's calls till this day.
