Failure a stepping Stone or bridge to success

Growing up as a young girl I always wanted to be an accountant. My mother was a petty trader and at her shop we will see people walk in dressed in suits and they were usually nice looking. I will look up at them and say to myself when I grow up I will dress just like this. Sharp and elegant just the way some of the Ladies looked when the come to my mom's shop to buy stuff.

I kept this dream alive all through my college through to my university studied and bagged a bachelor of Science degree with second class lower from the Lagos State University. Then I got into a professional organisations and that's where I started to improve my career to be among the best in the office.
For this, you have to have a certification either with the Nigerian Chartered Accountant Institute or the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
I opted for ICAN and started pushing exams the first time I wrote wasn't encouraging I said maybe I didn't do so well because I didn't study well enough but I did study and it was hard and tiring but then I put in again for another exam taking extra classes again paying a personal tutor and most times sleeping in the classroom as it was a further distance from my home. Took the exam and nothing changed but at work things were changing.

The managing partner I was a personal assistant to was retiring and work won't be the same for me. I had to start looking at other options. Already I had a side hustle as a masseuse but I didn't work full time with it because I was pursuing a professional career as an accountant. But I was fortunate to attend an entrepreneur training which boost my confidence that I can successfully start a business as a Mobile masseuse going from one home to another. So after the retirement party of the managing partner I stayed on the job just to set things up but I noticed that the new managing partner was with holding information from the former leaving me open for her to ask questions and when I did answer her, he comes for me with those answers.
The work place became toxic for me as I wasn't comfortable anymore so I put in my letter of resignation and left to start my own business.
At first everything seemed blank, like I wasn't ready for the whole financial drought.
But looking back am glad I took the decision to leave and build my own business.

I smile 😊 home everyday and I have no regrets for being a massage therapist.
Am busy the whole week I have regular clients weekly and they are very nice and sweet to me . They make the service I render easy to do with loads of love.
I went on to develop myself online so as to be the best therapist and I can boast of 2 diploma's and one certification as a physiotherapist Assistant.

And am loving the fact that I touch lives in various way I can't imagine.

If I could turn the hands of time I would rather have a degree in physical therapy than that of an accountant but life is what it is. My drive is my determination to be the best at what I do and keep improving myself at all times. There's a lot to look in on Instagram on exercise and sometimes massage strokes.

I didn't fail as an accountant I only evolved into a health care provider and this has helped me see life in another dimension.

Being here on hive block chain since January I still struggle with posting on the vibes community 😀 not because I don't want to but I struggle to upload my videos songs and most times I miss the deadline. This is one challenge am trying to over come as I have reached out to friends for assistance on what am doing wrong. It's just a set back not fear.

One thing I know is there are a lot I don't know how to navigate on this hive platform but as I grow know I will learn and do my best to be among the best in every community.. that's my target.
