The value of light.

I remember one time I sat down to reflect on daylight and electric light, and how useful both are to creation. I know that some creatures operate only at night—their daytime is night, and their night becomes day. But still, I believe the majority of creatures depend on light.

There was also a time we suffered a blackout that lasted for a whole month. I can tell you that the experience was terrible. In that long stretch of darkness, I began to think deeply about how important light truly is in our lives, and how easily crimes and other wrongs increase when there is no light.

Light is one of those blessings we often take for granted until it disappears. With light, nights become safer. Streets that would otherwise feel threatening are lit up, giving both comfort and security. Shops and businesses can run late into the evening, and students can study even after the sun goes down. Without light, the street looked dull, lonely, and unsafe, and I realised how much difference a single bulb makes.

Beyond that, light from electricity brings joy and colour to life. Imagine celebrations; weddings, birthdays, or even festivals without the bright decorations and glowing bulbs. It would feel incomplete. Even simple evenings at home are warmer and more cheerful when the room is lit up. Darkness, on the other hand, can make even familiar places feel strange and uncomfortable.

Truly, light is more than just electricity or brightness, it is safety, joy, and hope. Losing it for a while made me appreciate it more deeply.

There is a type of feeling we all get when there is light, you just feel excited and words cannot express the feeling.

When there is light, there is always this one joy I feel.once there is light, there is this strength it gives me to do some chores I have think of postponing. Brightness always make me feel alive, I even sleep with light. Light and water is what we are surviving on especially here in Nigeria, our mental health and business depends on it .
