Dreams and hunger for success are what keep us going.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Life would feel meaningless and without direction if not for dreams and the thirst and hunger for success. The pursuit of success is what gives life purpose because sometimes I sit back, and I ask myself, if not for the pursuit of success and achieving our dreams, what would we have been doing with our lives? Every day you wake up, your goal and aim for the day is to do one thing or the other that pushes you a step forward and further toward achieving your dreams.

So what if there was no dream to make a reality? What would have kept us busy? Dreams are what give us purpose, and it's funny how age does not stop one from dreaming very big; as children we had way bigger dreams than we even have now as adults. As a child I alone wanted to be a footballer, an engineer, a doctor, and the list goes on and on. Every day I wake up, the feeling changes, and I want to be something else because I have yet to understand how life works, and I feel I could be anything and all it takes is just putting in the work, but to make dreams happen requires more than just putting in the work.

You need dedication, determination, consistency, and most of all support to push you. You can put in all the work, and the lack of deficiency of one of the above can stop your dreams from becoming a reality. The pursuit for a better life and the hunger for success are what give us purpose, drive us, and push us to want to do better. I am starting to achieve my dreams, and it is a matter of time before I tick all the boxes.

The definition of success varies from one individual to another; for some it is setting goals and achieving them, for some it is making their every dream a reality, and for some it is seeing family and friends win. There are people who do not believe they are successful enough until they have impacted as many lives as possible, and all I can say is that every definition of success is valid as long as it works for the individual.

For me, success is seeing friends and family win; winning alone is not winning, but winning as a family is what I consider a win indeed. People say it is lonely at the top, but the reason why it is lonely at the top is because you won alone and were comfortable doing so. If you had carried family and friends along, maybe they would be at the top with you, and the top would not be lonely.
