Stress is a silent killer as I keep saying and judging from the kind of nation that we find ourselves, you will agree that the kind of work we do just to survive posses a lot of stress. But will you stop work ? No. You need to work and you also need to ensure that your physical wellbeing is on check to avoid breakdown. Because the very day you breakdown, your company will find a replacement and life goes on.

Therefore , balancing work life with physical wellbeing is one skill that everyone should master. It is not just a skill but a necessary one. I remember working in one hospitality fairm some years ago, I work 12 hours everyday and some days 14 hours. Apart from the physical stress the mental stress was much, I never had time for myself or any social activity especially days that I was in day shift. It was not funny , because my physical wellbeing was seriously affected. I had to quit the job for the sake of my sanity. But God blessed me with another job and I have always learn to balance my work life and physical wellbeing.

Over the years I been carefully sticking to these personal rules.

šŸ–Šļø I set clear work boudries ; no office work follows me back home , except on rare cases. I try as much as possible not to work overtime. If I am not okay with a task, I say it out.
šŸ–Šļø I ensure I avoid procrastination at all cost , so as to have good time for myself.
šŸ–ŠļøI listen to my body and do prompt medical treatment when need be.
šŸ–Šļø I take break at work , stroll around and also talk with friends.
šŸ–Šļø While at home I ensure that I listen to music, stroll around in the evening.

These and many more can help you balance work life and physical wellbeing. Because balancing work-life and physical wellbeing will enhance productivity in all ramifications and brings happiness.

That first point in your personal rule is so ideal. Imagine going to work at 7am and working till 7pm, only to carry back work to your house. It's basically like you're working round the clock. When will you take a break, eat and even have proper rest? Those are nice boundaries and it works out for good eventually.
